Re: Update: Overeem has hearing before NSAC

NSAC scolding Overeem in a passive-aggressive way for not surrounding himself with professionals of high quality, a direct shot at Dr. Nick.

Overeem got fucking owned, thank God. I expect the fight with Brock Lesnar to be ruled a no contest and also, now all of Overeem's HW wins are tainted in the eyes of many people. This should be interesting to see how Dana handles this.

Overem was obviously juicing and got busted. I can't believe he went to such a shitty doctor...he had to know he was gonna get caught. And the fact that he tried driving away right after the PC paints him guilty in my eyes. Unbelievable...

It should be said that appearing personally and with his "doctor" seems to have been good for him. The commission were thankful.

That being said, the reason his suspension/revoked license is for nine months instead of twelve is because it was an out of competition test. Had it been a result post-fight, he would've gotten a full year. They inferred as much.

Also, he may reapply on December 27th--which would be just in time for the UFC's annual New Year's show, which falls on the 29th this year.

So during his 9 month suspension, is he at the commission's mercy for testing, or is he immune to testing because he's suspended already? Could he hypothetically roid up these next 9 months and then stop?

Good question. I think since he isn't signed to a bout agreement and will probably be living out of state/country for most of the time, he isn't under their jurisdiction. If he signs a bout agreement in Nevada for his return fight, I think he is eligible to be tested again.
