I'm not quite sure why he didn't just play with the Spurs.</div>If I'm correct his contract just finished with his Euroleague team. If the Spurs wanted him, they would have had to buy his contract out, something they didn't want to do. Aside from that, they were stacked at the forward position. They had no need for him with the likes of Oberto and Duncan taking most of the minutes.

Oberto has opted for free agency.

<div class="quote_poster">M Two One Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">There still is no confirmation anywhere that I am aware of the Spurs wanting that deal for salary purposes. If indeed that is the case, the Bulls have plenty of players to make such a deal as the Rockets had done. Anyway, Pax is a good GM in my book, but sometimes his hesitations piss me off. He isn't aggressive in the market.</div>

There is no confirmation that lets u aware the Spurs wanted to deal for salary purposes because sometimes u have to read between the lines.

Spanollious or however u spell his name wants to go back to his country. He said publicly that he hates it here. Instead of paying Scola 3 million they traded him and Butler to lose about 4 millions dollars and take 0 dollars in return. It would be dumb to trade Scola for Duhon and Khryapa if ur getting more money in return for lesser talent that will definately not start on there team.

It shows u they wanted to save money in the first place because its pretty dumb to let Scola go unless u cant afford to keep him.

Spurs traded away 4 millions and obtain no salary in return in this deal.

Without confirmation, there is no point in arguing about it. You can always have an opinion, but you can't make assumptions without facts. There is no reading between the lines here, because of the fact that San Antonio could've done this for hundreds of reasons. I get my sources from facts, that's only when I get involved in threads here at JBB. Scola is now in Houston and his contract in Europe is over with. That's all we have for facts now.

Fact: Spurs are like the 3rd smallest market
Fact: The Spurs are very cheap when the Luxury as proved in past years
Fact: The Spurs would have been over the luxury if they kept Scola or traded him for equal talent/money
and so more many facts can be made.

When u have enough facts u can make assumptions. The Spurs was a more complete/experienced team then the Cavs u can assume that that they would win without the fact that it happened yet.

Fact: Spurs are like the 3rd smallest market</div> - <font color=""Red"">False</font>: The Spurs have one of the highest selling team kits in the world and sell well at home. One of the highest respected basketball clubs in the world and the NBA have and always will have them on their high list.

I don't think you know anything about European basketball or how it works in this market what-so-ever.

Uhm, what? Based on what just went on in this topic, you do not make any sense what-so-ever with the reply you just made. A bit of advice though; please learn to write more clearly and legibly before you post. I've noticed half the time members don't understand what you write on here.

Discussion is closed, the player has already been confirmed to Houston.
