Re: is Bennett still a Duck??? Yes, I think that is exactly how it would be handled. CK would try and save their redshirts unless he really needs them to start. Doesn't want to waste them on mop up duty that Hawkins and Haines can handle.
Re: is Bennett still a Duck??? yeah I'm hoping so too, especially considering if we cant redshirt Rodriguez, that puts both him and MM in the same class still. Although I guess he could always redshirt his Soph year like DT did.
Re: is Bennett still a Duck??? Adam Jude was one of the few who didnt come off looking stupid earlier in the year with Chip Kelly and Tampa Bay fwiw
Re: is Bennett still a Duck??? This is sounding hopeful anyway. I would love for BB to stay at least one more year. CK must of worked his magic!!
Re: is Bennett still a Duck??? off to dinner with the Mrs... hopefully no breaking news while I'm out. If so keep me updated please! you too Tlong
Re: is Bennett still a Duck??? It's unfortunate if he's staying now. Chip Kelly must have really spread some bullshit.
Re: is Bennett still a Duck??? Adam Jude @A_Jude Bryan Bennett now telling Oregon people he is staying "for sure," The Oregonian has learned.
Re: is Bennett still a Duck??? I feel sorry for him. I wanted to see him go somewhere and be happy and get to play. I wonder of Kelly refused to let him out of his scholarship.
Re: is Bennett still a Duck??? I heard on The Fan this morning that after talking with Chip, he has decided to stay. http://www.oregonlive.com/ducks/index.ssf/2012/08/oregon_ducks_quarterback_bryan.html
Re: is Bennett still a Duck??? I couldnt imagine being an athlete in this day and age when everyone is a "reporter" The kid obviously was having a difficult/bad day, and who here wouldnt? 1000+ miles away from family, 19/20 years old, and you hit a samoan sized speed bump, in one of your biggest dreams. Then you read stuff about people questioning his character and how selfish he is(not here... although I can bet a former poster or two would have referred to Bennett as a "Whore" yesterday), when he is obviously torn with a life altering decision of "Do I gamble my future and stay here, but risk not playing much, severly diminishing my chance at the NFL? Or do I leave a place that I want to be (Assuming that since he chose to stay) and do what could possibly be best for me? this wouldnt even have been an issue publicly 5 or so years ago even.

hell of a lot of respect gained for this kid. He has faced the music and some tough questions. Some mental toughness for him for sure! Lucky and glad to have him on the team!
