The unit they used at the start of the 2nd quarter looked very impressive running an actual offense, but they just couldn't get anything to fall. I've been dissapointed with Chris Bosh, he just doesn't look strong enough, Howard and Brand look much better tonight.
God damn, those last few minutes of the 2nd quarter were sloppy as hell. We need to stop rushing our passes, and I would like to see LeBron get a little more involved offensively, and also keep feeding the ball to Melo unless he cools off. I would also like to see Brand play a little more, he was excellent IMO. He hit his shots, got inside, and played good defense.Win or lose, I am so happy right now! I have been dying for some basketball all summer. Are they televising more exhibition games after tonight?
First half notes:-I see what Kobe meant by they come at you in waves. 1st group is all the star players that will kill you on offense and running the break, and 2nd group puts clamps down on you with their defense and have great 3pt shooting.-Wade, Melo, Paul, Gilbert and Joe Johnson have all really impressed.-The big men like Bosh have to realize they can't shoot 3's and have to get inside. Same with other players, they can't be taking every 3 they see, even if they do have a bit of daylight they don't see in the NBA. Take time, get good shots.-The big men, specifically Brand and Bosh, have to take their time down low. I saw Brand drop a pass or 2, and dribble off his knee once or twice, and Bosh rush his shot.-LeBron has to get a bit more involved in the game, him and Wade can drive on these puerto ricans at will. Even though this is a TEAM and not individual game, both of them have the ability to take over. Wade showed flashes in first quarter, but Bron was kind of absent.-By the time Olympics roll around, Kobe and Amare are gonna be huge for the team. The USA needs a bit more down low, and Amare will fill that. And Kobe is another fantastic outside shooter that can drive, pass and take over (not to mention the defense).-From what I've seen, the only ones that I think should be cut are Jamison and possibly Hinrich.
wow, the US defense looks amazing. Did anybody notice the difference of the pace of basketball between the first and second group. The first group is non stop fast break. Its amazingCarmelo looks awesome
Nuggets...can anybody say back to back division winners?Melo's playing amazingim impressedwe're running away with it..I cant wait to see this developed team in 08
Heh Bron just abused that guy down low. This is finally starting to come together....and beautifully. Very impressed.
Team USA held them to just 1-12 shooting while we shot 14-19 in the 3rd quarter. We are up by 37 right now.

I'm telling you guys, even when this team is playing bad we are still considerably better than PR, who beat us in Athens. When we are playing well....well, we are up by around 40 right now...
goodness, i have never seen a team play this well. They play defense, they score, they hustle, and they have fun while doing it. Its a thing of beauty
I love the Lebron at PF. I wonder if he will be utilized at that during the regular season. No teams power forwards can keep up with him and though he isn't playing great as a unit there is too much speed and so other teams are unable to guard everyone.
