As for Pelosi blaming it all on the GOP, this warning has been coming from both Moody's (which maintained the AAA rating) and S&P for many months. With all due respect to either side, this downturn in rating belongs squarely on the shoulders of Obama/Pelosi/Reid.

I do understand what your hinting at, but Obama was swept into office with a cloture proof Senate and a super majority in the House- nearly unprecedented and Obama/Reid/Pelosi had carte blanche authority to do whatever they wished. Their direct policies more than doubled the national debt (and the vast majority of that money was ill spent for unions...) and created what will become the largest money sucking entitlement program in our nation. Those are the primary reasons we have lost our credit rating. Moody's and S&P warned them this might happen and now it has. For Pelosi to even hint at blaming the GOP makes it clear she may not be of sound mind.
This is as political as I've ever seen S&P get in a statement. As BlazerProphet posted, Moody's and S&P have been warning us for months that spending and the deficit is the problem with our long-term outlook. I realize that Team Obama is going to try and spin this, and we've seen evidence of this from STOMP, but this downgrade is primarily the fault of Barack Obama, and that's why they're challenging it.
if you can't blame obama for this, you're not going to blame him for anything he does. you've given him a "free pass" for whatever he does.

I see a lot of people complaining about trolling with PapaG, when its not trolling. The mods don't think its trolling, and they don't like to edit threads. People who accuse one of trolling are normally just upset one has a different opinion. You can see how freaked out Democrats are for example.

I don't hate STOMP. He just has a hard time dealing with differing opinions. Perhaps the interweb forums aren't the best place for him? I like his posts on the Duck forum. Fuck, I had a poster here in the past month go to the trouble of buying my IP info, and then posting my name repeatedly in a thread. Did I whine about it, Sly? Nope. I laughed it off. That's not even my worst experience here with another poster, and I never asked that the most recent case be banned for posting my personal information that he clearly purchased somehow.
