It's been over a year since I've been on a decent vacation. Probably be another year before I can go on another one too. #sosad
I remember once being within about 20 feet of President Clinton at the Bellagio. He was being whisked out by SS dudes with earpieces, immediately thrust into the limousine, and drove away. I was sitting outside under the portico enjoying a sandwich. It was kind of surreal, actually. Not even sure what he was doing in town.
I used to roll with my aunt and uncle in college. They got comped. Studied for finals in the hot tub at the bellagio pool. Charged food and drinks to the room all day
It's been about ten years since I went on a decent vacation and that was only one week. Now, it looks like I'll never go on a decent vacation even though we've got money to go on a decent vacation for a month. Gotta stay close to the hospital.
I've told you a few time that the larger cruise ships have dialysis machines onboard. You should look into it. I know that you'll have to pay for it upfront but the VA will reimburse you. You and Tammy will have had your covid shots. https://www.dialysisatsea.com/
I know they have dialysis machines but some people know how to stick a needle either painlessly or with little pain while others are nightmare butchers. I know what I'm getting at the VA and most of them are really good. I politely refuse the few others who make my arm black and blue while inflicting great pain.
Actually, the capitol of Clinton's home state is Little Rock. I'll be going there this week. Probably will have lunch at 42 Bar & Table.
Sorry Lanny and know what you are dealing with my father was a long dialysis patient. He had a shunt put in his arm which wasn't a pleasant procedure as well. I remember him being thirsty all time. And there were the occasions Id pick him up and he'd get dizzy form blood pressure issue if he got up quickly. They a knew a young bout that was around 12/13 that had in home dialysis through his belly.
Then pick something like a 3 day cruise, time it so you would only have one dialysis treatment onboard the ship. If they suck at needles then you would only have to put up with it one time. If they do alright then you know you could look into longer cruise after that.
Excuse me, you are right, for some reason I was thinking of President Carter and the time you lived in Atlanta.
