@EL PRESIDENTE, out of blue, we got reservations to Mama's Fish House this evening. Even the locals say this is a 6-months-out establishment.
The story of their journey is freakin' amazing. Mar Azul would be incredibly proud to say the least. https://mamasfishhouse.com/history/
Sounds like a fantastic trip! I'm not sure how things are now, but Mexico Beach, FL had incredible number of fixers after Michael. But. alas, that was a number of years ago.
Explored some small-tiny old towns just across the border in what my brother-in-law calls "LA" (lower Alabama). Samson, Geneva, Hartford, and on the Florida side Darlington, Ponce de Leon Springs, Bonifay, Chipley, and around Defuniak Springs.
One of the best meals I've ever had in my life. Open Table had rated it the 2nd best restaurant in the US. https://www.bizjournals.com/pacific/news/2013/12/11/mauis-mamas-fish-house-is-no-2-best.html
Very cool. Hey, buy a place here! We are! https://www.latitudemargaritaville....ce=1_MjMyMTQyNzMtNzE1LWxvY2F0aW9uLndlYnNpdGU=
Does anyone know anything about Naples or Sorrento? Looks like we will be there for about 4 days, mostly to see Pompeii and trying to decide where we want to stay. Im reading Naples is a little high strung, loud and busy and Sorrento is kind of laid back and touristy. Im leaning towards Sorrento.
Never been but was considering it for honeymoon so we were researching it a little. I'd probably do Sorrento. Go watch the "walking" videos on youtube.
We flew in to Vegas, then drove over to Zion. Spent 2 days there, then drove to Moab where we hit up Canyonlands and Arches over 4 days. Then to the Grand Canyon for another 2 days. Was a super fun trip, the driving wasn't all that bad, and crossed 4 more national parks off our list.
BORED. I need to go somewhere lol. I hate the first 3 months of the year. Less travelling then it amps up. May look at going to Nashville this summer for a weekend. We'll see what's up. Thinking of the Jersey Shore/Philly as an option too.
