We passed through Sheridan and couldn’t believe what a run down, dirty little place it had become. We circled through twice……and kept moving.
Been a long time since I thought of it. I was more of a Flight 99 (Brooks) guy. We’d stop for a beer and a gander on our way home from working graveyard shift……
Haha its a toy my son picked out at http://ridindirtyrentals.com/ before we went out on a legit side by side.
We decided on the Riu Palace Baja California, Adults only, all inclusive in Cabo. July 23rd thru 29th. Looking forward to it. Never been to Cabo. The beaches don’t look as nice as Cancun. But still looks like it’s going to be awesome. We’re ready to soak up the sun
Got back from the Midwest last week. Was originally supposed to fly back but ended up driving one of my in-laws cars out here from Illinois. Not much to speak of for the drive until I hit Western Nebraska. Looked like a postcard almost the entire drive here. After seeing the differences in observing protocols and vaccine acceptance, I am not confident in getting back to normal there. Would love to go to the major tennis tournament they have in Cincinnati in August but have little faith in the locals.
Oddly, I've never been to NYC. For those of you who've been, if you had 2 solid no travel days there, what would be your gotta do's? Thanks in advance.
We just got back from staying at a Riu Palace in Playa Del Carmen. It was really f'ing nice. Would stay again with them. Very impressed.
Learn the Subway. Walk through Times Square ONCE. Katz' Deli Walk down 5th Ave/Rockerfeller Center/etc Walk around Little Italy Washington Square Park Bryant Park East Village Find a Rooftop to have a drink on Trump Tower 9/11 Site I did a nice boat tour on the river called "Lobster Tour" or some shit. It was $10, they served lobster rolls and beers you could buy and it was a good view.
Honestly, NYC sounds like its fallen apart with crime and bullshit, I'd probably stay away until they clean it up a bit, I know I am.
As massive as NYC is, you actually can get a lot done just walking around. If not, jump in a cab for a few mins. Brooklyn Bridge, Times Sq, 9/11, Central Park, Rockefeller Center, Empire State, you can see and do a lot in two days. And after those two days you'll be ready to go. Its like Vegas. Awesome for a short time.
