No it shouldn't have. Pittsburgh got screwed hardcore in that game and still came out with a win. I can't wait for the Champoionship, its going to be ugly for Denver.

Whoa Denver is at home and has a very good defense. Both teams are mirror images of each other. If I recall Denver won 13 games and Pittsburgh did not in the regular season. Pittsburgh isn't going too crush Denver. I find Ironic that Denver knocks the Pats out of the playoffs and they now become enemy #1 to you. This game is going to be close and whoever plays there game wins the game. I'm going with Denver because they are at home..

Tell that to Ray Finkle's mom and dad. You might want to pack some kevlar and an extra pair of clean shorts for that trip.

Giants fans...they're finally back after disappearing when they lost in the playoffs.

The Steelers won the game -- Vanderjagt didn't lose it.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (vikingfan)</div><div class='quotemain'><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Cowher&Frown Co.)</div><div class='quotemain'>dude he slammed his helmet on the ground...why is it that the best kickers tend to miss in the most important plays...</div>
Not to nitpick, but the best kickers don't miss the most important plays. Kickers have one job, and if they can't excel under the most important conditions (which is when the game is on the line), then they are not a good kicker.

Paul Edinger, IMO, is a better kicker. Sure, he missed a lot of easy kicks this year, but when the game was on the line three times during the regular season he was good from very long distances (long of 56 yards). I will take a kicker who is good in the clutch any day over a kicker who regularly misses key fieldgoals.

With that said, I think this was an abberation and that Vanderjagt, given 10 of those kicks makes 8 or 9. Bad day for him, unlucky break.</div>
i agree with you but still Vanderjacsjfnewjrfnwe was so good it seems supernatural that players with automatic legs would miss in the situations to be great...the only great one right now it seems is Vinatieri...

Vinateiri (sp?) even failed us this year. With how screwy things are this year with weird things happening I wouldn't be shocked if the Browns or some team like that went deep into the playoffs in '06.

^Browns are a team taking many big strides. I wouldn't be shocked too see them at 8-8 or 7-9 next year and maybe the playoffs the year after. Much like the Bengals turned around with Lewis. I think Crennel is going to turn it around with the Browns in a similar way.
