I dont think it is going to be good to have a NBA basketball team in the biggest gambeling city in USA. Imagine all the amount of fake tickets. It wouldnt be good for business.
sorry to get off-topic kind of, but the montreal expos are considering moving to las vegas also i heard instead of DC, but we'll see...
If they were to get rid of a team in California and put them in Vegas, why not the Clippers? They always sell tickets and people in LV will go just to see some good pro ball.. LAS VEGAS CLIPPERS doesnt sound that bad
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting WhiteManCanJump:</div><div class="quote_post"> LAS VEGAS CLIPPERS doesnt sound that bad </div> Except for the fact that a Clipper was a ocean-made sailing ship, and the biggest body of water in that desert around Vegas is Lake Mead.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting notMuchgame:</div><div class="quote_post">L.A. don't got no lakes either but no one seems to care </div> I said ocean-going, and Los Angeles just happens to have a nice body of water next to it. Starts with a 'P', ends in an 'acific.'
The Lakers got their name from being in Minneapolis, which is home to one of the Great Lakes. The Clippers got their name from being in San Diego, which is known for it's ports. Kings in Vegas makes sense to me. Vegas is one of the fatest growing cities in the United States, and businesses besides the casinos are starting to pop up all over the area. A big incentive for players besides the hot women and night life, would be the tax benefits ... Las Vegas, Nevada has: No Personal Income Tax No Inheritance Tax No Estate Tax and/or Gift Tax No Special Intangible Tax
impossible i think, the reason vegas has no teams is because of the high risk of games being rigged... i mean it is the gambling capital.
mydi619, are you aware the Kings owners own the Palms Casino in Vegas and Ceasar's Palace is part owner of the Knicks already? The location of a team isn't going to effect whether it's rigged or not.
yes i am aware of that... but i was just saying generally that that's the reason there are no sports teams in vegas.
if the move really happens, the Kings should change their name to... "Las Vegas Royal Flushes" or "LV Jokers"!
