I agree. My favorite saying before this was "Straight cash, homey" courtesy of Randy Moss, but now I am diggin' "Hood to the Core"
Both of you can't think this way, HispanicCausinPanic said not one of the posters here would find this thread interesting. I am confused.
Why would I be crying?! lol Stat Quo sucks. He is only famous at all because he grew up with Eminem on 8 Mile and Em gave him a record deal.
WHOA, Whoa, whoa HCP. There's nothing negative about being gay. And in fact, if he was gay, and actually came out, he'd get a TON of positive press.
First of all, I met John Amaechi and he was kind of a jerk. But that said, what "crap" "went on"? If Oden was gay and came out, it would be HUGE. Sure, there a jerks like Tim Hardaway, but the mainstream press would be singing his praises for him having the guts to be open about who he is. Are you saying you wouldn't be proud of Greg in this instance? Also, I'm gay and a bit of a celebrity and I've never gotten any bad press about it. All that said, I don't think Greg is gay. I think the dude was just criticizing his game.
No you won't. We all put up with your "Big Time Insider Info" threads and other no content posts that are a waste of space. If you don't want to read this thread "Then go away!" and take your homophobic comments with you.
Why is your opinion about sexuality your own, but Hardaway's makes him a jerk? (I feel this heading into an OT topic).
May I point out right now that I love my gay friends, and also my wife's gay friends? We'll see you guys on Sunday for Thai night! They love our kids as well.
Nothing is wrong with being gay, but spreading rumors about someone's sexuality is BS. How would you like it if someone spread the rumor that you were straight?
I apologize if what I said upset you Eric. My frustration was not about Greg being gay or not, it was about how the press would jump all over this. ( And I think they would) Amaechi got treated pretty poorly by fellow players. I think he was on 60 minutes. When this came out Greg was being attacked left and right in the media for being injury prone, and I was just frustrated about what looked like ANOTHER attack. The last thing I am is homophobic, and you should know that. Once again, sorry if I offended you.
I didn't realize this was a yr old until you posted this. I hate when someone replies to a old thread like this. I read the whole stupid thing. I wish they'd have it so you can see when the thread was originally posted next to the original posters name so I don't even have to open the thread to see the date. I usually don't even pay attention to the date when it's on the first page of the forum once I open the thread.
Hardaway said he "hates" gay people. That's being a jerk no matter what you think of sexual orientation.
I had no idea that this was a year old thread. There are lots of players, McGrady for one, who have been outspoken about welcoming any player who would be willing to come out. Look, John is not the only gay person who has ever played in the NBA. There are probably at LEAST 30 gay players in the NBA currently and their teammates probably know this. Just none of them have come out about it.
