drunk by yourself.. what's the point.Drunk before going to work or schoolyour leading down a path to trouble.. of course if you're under 25, you can still outgrow it.I personally grew tired of the excessive drinking of my youth and barely touch it.I know some other friends who drink almost every weekend. I'd say they're boderline alcoholics being older and still acting like that.

Baker himself said that he was a recovering alcoholic who used to binge in hotel rooms after playing poorly....<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (CelticFan @ Jun 22 2007, 06:44 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>there's a difference between having a drink or two and getting drunk in the morning or before going to work or school.actually if you drink first thing in the morning and it's not a camping trip or waking up at a house party, it kinda speaks of a depenancy.when you drink during non-socially acceptable times (meals, evenings, parties) it does point to a potential problem.there's a difference between beer for breakfast (or hard stuff) and a cold one while watching the Celtics win.</div> He likes to have a beer once and a while, stop making it bigger than what it is. Everyones drank alone or at an odd time of the day....
PrimeTime, aside from the Webster's dictionary of alcoholic conversation....Vinny Baker is an alcoholic. He was coming to practice drunk, he admitted to binge drinking after bad games, and if you look at his last years in the league, he just plummted completely. He also had a not often discussed heart surgery that was result of binging on hard alcohol. I agree with you that someone who drunk drives doesn't neccesarily mean they're an alcoholic, but if you've been following the saga that is Vin Baker, you would understand this guy has a serious problem. I'm still done feeling bad for the guy though. People always go oh it's too bad, this guy has some issues. He has had all the help anyone with such a problem could get, he clearly just doesn't care. You can't make someone quit drinking unless they want to do it themselves. He clearly doesn't want to do it.
