i guess something good that will come from this, is now the public in toronto will have some kind of hate on for vince.

if babcock had just traded him away, there would have been lots of upset vince lovers...now those vince lovers are pissed at him, and will welcome a replacement.

we can only hope its someone on VC's level ie: pierce, allen...etc

hope we get an equal or even better than equal value of vince, SG/SF are easy to replace as there are so many SG/SF. The negative part is that attendance would be low as long as they create a winning team. Vince would be a cancer to the team if he's been complaining all offseason long. but since it's vince, he might change his mind if they win. It's going to be tough to win a lot since we get a lot of the strong west teams on the first month but then again it's the raps, they usually win on unbeatable teams, if they don't get a win, could be a close game, and the raps usually lose to teams below .500

** just a few more months and we'll see how the raps will do.

i dont think we should try to replace vince with a single player...unless its Baron Davis, Ray Allen or Peja. Other than that its no dice. Trade him for a big and some picks...or some depth. Magloire and a first round next year sounds nice...cause the Hornets are gunna do bad...so it'll be a low pick.
A shot at Oden wouldnt be too bad

This is bad for Toronto, without Carter I don't think the team will be the same, hopefully Bosh can step up and make it his team, the Raps didn't always have winning seasons, but with Carter it was different, they were fun to watch, and Carter was the reason they were so popular. But wherever Carter ends up, he'll still be my favorite player, and i'll get his jersey, lmao

i dont think so....without vince i still think we'd do well. Mo Pete is capable of giving 15 pts as a starter and lamond murray can take the backup minutes Mo would of had. Donyell can also get a few more minutes at the 3 spot. I'd be ok with a Vince for 3 first round draft picks NEXT year, like the Nets got for Kmart. Or like i said before...Magloire and 2005 first round

i dont know...mo pete has had starter minutes plenty in the passed few years because of injuries to jalen last year and vince the previous two years and he rarely produces 15ppg

ps. 02civic...do you post on torontocivics or any of the other civic boards? i drive an 04 civic.

If I'm wrong, correct me but I believe the Nets got 1 first round pick for each of 04-05, 05-06 and 06-07 seasons, not all three first round picks in 04-05 season.

VinKanaddy - no you're right....i worded it wrong, must of been on crack...what i meant to say is i'd go for a trade involving 3 first rounders IF they were next year

dj_premium_plus - Mo Pete was a huge contributer before on the team..and he fits so well with a run and gun offense. he can flat out shoot and i think he's a adept defender. I think he could be a suitable starter....maybe not all star caliber...but he'd do. He didnt produce during KO's tenure at all....he wasnt used right by that particular coach, and i think he needed more minutes and much more consistency has fair has playing time inorder to get into a groove. There were nights he'd play 25 minutes and score 12 points and then the next night he'd play 6 or less minutes. KO was garbage

BTW - i sometimes post on torontocivics.com, i was trying to sell my nitrous system on there not too long ago. mainly i stick to 7thgencivic.com and londonautoclub.org (edited: please don't link non-associated links)

Hey wait a minute...your avatar seems familiar...you didnt recently start hanging round with the london 7thgen boys did you? Cause i'm one of them...just been sorely absent as of the past 6 months :thumbsdow

I here carter would like to go to new york. i'd trade him jamal crawford and see what else you can get maybe kurt thomas or a draft pick. the reason i like crawford is this team is not ready to win it all now with or without carter so lets really rebuild not do some half half stuff lets get a group of good players around the same age and see what they can do with the years to come.

Raps fans are definitely pissed at Vince. Well if he gets traded I would like to see him go to the Clips. I mean I wanna see the man play and since FSN shows Laker and Clippers games alot it's perfect from a entertainment standpoint for me.

that would be a good trade but carter doesnt want to go to a team that wont make the playoffs, plus new orleans is in the western conference now and he doesnt want to be traded there, or else he will asked to be traded again.

Clippers would be a nice fit. Elton Brand, corey magette and vince on the same team. Maybe get one more nice aquisition in there and youd have an improved team.

Well, I didnt read this yet, and haven't been on JBB in a while, but I thought soemthing like this was coming.

It's no surprise its coming from Vince's mouth, but it is not a smart move. I mean, 3 years left on his contract, he has no leverage in this situation. The Toronto fans are just against him now. Hopefully he comes in and plays like he's paid to do. The outlook for the team's season has just got much worse.

Probably posted, but didn't ESPN say he faked almost all his injuries or osemthing(read it in the Star) very interesting.

Vince will not be traded unless he keeps on whining.

he's capable of it the run and gun system would help his game a lot mixing the 3 and his ability to slash to the basket.

if he said that he wanted to be traded right away then, how do you think the charity game would do?

even tho i m a very big vince fan...i kinda m pissed that he is somewhat detraying the toronto fans...by wanting out....and i would like to see him out and not be as sucessful in terms of popularity and team success, so he could look back and see what a foolish move he is doing

^ Yeah... i read that too. It was actually a quote from ESPN (the magazine) coming from an anonymous coach in the NBA who said that Vince fakes his injuries all the time.
