    If you're trying to be a bit more optimistic about the hiring, there's this: link

    Its not so much that coaching experience is vitally important, its just that this was the culmination of a long, public coaching search.

    The best they could come up with is Vinny Del Negro?

    We're a young team. I'd like a steady, been-there / done-that hand to mold them. At least someone with *some* experience. *Some* track record.

    What is this team, already with a severe attitude problem going to do with a rookie coach on a 2 year deal?

    It really is a joke, IMO.

He wants to win, but he's not willing to open his pocket for it. If winning is that important, he wouldn't have brought in a rookie head coach when someone like Avery Johnson is out there, who by the way, has the highest winning percentage ever for someones first three seasons. Vinny....oh yea, hasn't even coached a game.

    Beyond that, if he wanted to win, I'd think he'd have found a way to get Deng and Gordon both resigned by now. they're each integral parts of the Bulls future, but Reinsdorf doesn't want to pay the luxury tax, so more than likely, one of those is going to walk.

    In my book, he's cheap, and this move just cements that thought for me.</div>

    PROFIT = INCOME - EXPENSES

    If you increase expenses, you need to increase income, too, to make up for it, or your profit decreases [IMG]

    It's my sense that they run all kinds of "what if" scenarios and forecast income and expenses under these scenarios and choose the one with the maximum profit.

    Unfortunately, maximum profit is not the same thing as trying to win championships.

    From everything I've gathered so far, are coaching staff is probably going to look like: Bob Hill, Tom Thibodeau, Bill Cartwright, and Toni Kukoc, with Willhelm as a scout.

    Big improvement over Boylan, Adams, and Myers!

    If we can't snag Thibo, then substitute in Johnny Bach.
