Here you go: There's your vintage AJD NBA Superstripe Portland Trail Blazers cap in the top left. It's definitely vintage. Although there is no date on the ad, it would have been from the period between 1976-77, when the league added four franchises from the defunct ABA (Denver Nuggets, Indiana Pacers, New Jersey Nets and San Antonio Spurs) through 1979-80. Those were the only four seasons in league history when there were exactly 22 teams. Prior to absorbing the ABA teams, there were 18 teams in the league, which grew to 23 teams for the 1980-81 season with the addition of the expansion Dallas Mavericks. BNM
