Honestly, can't see that it would hurt and assuming Dame has a professional attitude in this situation (I think he would), then it likely helps, only issue would be minutes with Dame, Scoot, Simons, Shae
Lillard will only be helpful to Scoot's development. I don't see him being a disruption. We have already seen the article saying Dame is ready to come into training camp. I don't see a trade happening before the season starts. There will be minutes enough for both him and Scoot if that is the concern.
It's possible, though not very likely, that Dame returns, and the Blazers play so well, that he rescinds his trade demand. Don't get your hopes up though.

That would not be good for Scoot's development. The nice thing is if Scoot doesn't pan out we can keep him around as spare parts for Dame.

That would be my worry as well. Playing Dame into the ground to squeeze out a few wins.I will say that Lillard playing can only help the Blazers win games.
The one caveat is Billups. He could play Lillard when it's unnecessary and even detrimental.

Preferably delete him (+ assets) for a young 3-D SF. A guy can dream.delete Simons from that list and there's no issue
Scottie BarnesPreferably delete him (+ assets) for a young 3-D SF. A guy can dream.
Or worn down to the point where he’s injured before a trade even happens? So, Dame would be worn down when he's traded to the Heat?
I'm not seeing the problem here.![]()
