Speaking of "draw": Houston has the best record in the league, and watching the game last night, half the seating I could see on the screen was empty. Great fans.

    1) I didn't say I don't see a difference. I just didn't choose to delve into the variations and degrees of character flaws. The point was to address the question of how/why Memphis gave up on Baldwin. Hell, they were the eventual [big time] beneficiary of us doing the same thing with Z-Bo.

    2) Y'all are juxtaposing Nurk and Baldwin all of a sudden. Nurk sulked in Denver over role and playing time. Baldwin was too cocky from the get go. Nurk was situational, Baldwin was a character flaw that he has owned up to and hopefully put behind him.

So you are just going to ignore the difference between wanting a bigger role on a basketball team and being a criminal off of the court?

You claim you see the difference but then post like the difference doesn't mean anything. It means everything!

James Harde had been averaging 45 ppg against the Blazers this season. With Baldwin hounding him for a good portion of the game, he scored 24. Coincidence? Too small of a sample size....but it certainly didn't hurt to have someone up in his face and not backing down.

Did the Astro's have a home stand? Maybe it was barbeque night somewhere else in Houston.

In the past, Terry Stotts employed the same defensive system against Harden as he does against Lebron and Durant. That is to NOT double them. Those players are all such great floor generals that their teammates will end up getting really easy shots. So, let the super star get theirs, but make them work for it.

After the "starters" went out of the game, the team started doubling Harden and Paul, and picking then up full court. The personnel definitely had something to do with it, ie, Poison IV. But, the defensive game plan was also completely different. I'm hoping that system is here to stay, at least situationally.
