Wade N-E-V-E-R goes to the media saying things like this. This is the FIRST time he has gone public and said anything negatively about another player. I don't get where you say you have felt this way for years as he has constantly been one of the most humble stars in the league.

Wade is just pissed that he isn't being worshipped by others as the best. How dare anyone say the refs helped him out win a championship. I don't go by what they say to the press but how they act on the court.

I like DWade. Why isn't anyone making a big deal about Dirk talking about how Dallas let the Heat win? I think DWade is getting too much hate. Yeah, I know he got a tad bit too many calls during the Finals, but that doesn't mean the Heat didn't deserve to win.P.S: Stop the flaming, you flaming faggots! (j/k)</span>

How would you feel if you had one of the great Finals performances of all time, was on an underdog team, and helped carry your team to what you strive for your whole life...only for it to be downgraded and lessened by some jealous jacka$$es on the other team? Dirk saying that the Mavs gave them the ring and not giving the heat credit is just being jealous and a sore loser, and while I don't agree with Wade picking Dirk out and being so harsh, I don't mind him bringing it up and being a little sour.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Dirk saying that the Mavs gave them the ring and not giving the heat credit is just being jealous and a sore loser</div>Please, after the series, Dirk gave his respect and credit to the Heat, and so did other Mavs. This is coming off a comment about his retrospect of the series where he was talking about his free throw miss and commented that they had given away the series. This was not a dig at the Heat and him being a sore loser. Because seriously, Mavs did give away the series after the 2-0 lead and breakdown in game 3.

I'm just taking it from what the article said in this topic. Wade wouldn't go off like he did without reason.

But here he is again making another comment. I really don't get it.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>''I guess you have earned the right to criticize Dirk with an obvious display of your own leadership skills.I know Shaq appreciates your leadership as well. He called out your team a few weeks ago saying it was "embarassing'. Great leadership DWade. Your coach sat players for being fat. I guess you couldnt lead them away from the buffet. You are an amazing player Dwayne. I love watching you shoot free throws. What you know about Dirk's leadership skills is non existent. You don't have a clue. Your ability to evaluate leadership skills....well you obviously have an overinflated value of your own. Did you take business classes at Marquette ?''</div>-Mark Cuban's comments on Wade.

I love what Mark Cuban had to say back to Wade, he totally dissed him. Wade should shut up now.

Hahah, me likey. Just as Nitro said, I doubt Wade would say something like this without a reason. If Dirk really made some excuses and acted as if they gave us the title, then who cares. Anyways, it's nice to see Wade open his mouth for once. It's pretty funny how many people are overreacting and critisizing him(I knew mavsfan would of course as soon as I saw the topic), but I like it...for once some hate on Wade besides Mavsfan. We're going by what the article said. If you want to prove that wrong, then you go find the article, but right now that article is the best indication any of us have. Wade is never the one to open his mouth, especially like this, so there had to be some motivation behind it.

It says very, very clearly that Dwyane Wade, the basketball player, said that Dirk said such a thing. I'm sorry, but I don't take Dwyane Wade as the ultimate source on Dirk. Furthermore, it's the Miami Herald. You probably don't know much about the Miami Herald if you think that they know a lot about goings-on with the Mavericks (hint: read the Mark Cuban blog, if you don't understand how short-sighted you are being).I didn't deny that he had motivation, I merely believe that his motivation is misplaced. People are calling him a bad leader, so he's going to the first person he can think to criticize about the issue.

I'm siding with Dirk, Cuban and the Mavs on this one. Wade should watch his mouth..better yet just keep it shut because everyone knows he wouldn't be half the player he is without the refs.

I believe the quote Wade is referring to is the one from last year where Dirk stated his retrospect on the series and his missed free throw. He stated that they had given the series away. Which really is taken out of context in how Wade decided to reply. But the thing is that I don't get was Wade already responded to Dirk's comment in a jokingly manner before training camp. So it confuses me to why all of this is being brought up again. Someone said on another board, that this as a way for Wade to bring attention to the Heat who are enduring a sub-par season after winning a championship. Wade's tired of the talk surrounding the Heat and I bet he's tired of the talk surrounding him and the refs. This is him lashing out. I think the guy makes a good point. Because as I stated above, it makes zero sense for Wade to come out of nowhere with a comment like this.
