Bogans was even worse in summer league than Montero. I don't think we need a "vet mentor" who can't play. We have coaches for that.

Ya because it's going to be a make or break decision for the playoffs.

Sounds like Danny Granger will be cut by the pistons today.....Should the Blazers be interested?

Jabari Brown also waived by the Lakers.

Nothing of interest other than Upshaw. He has a very unique talent. Obviously, he also has some personal issues but of all the players waived, most of them are nothing to wave a Jack Haley towel at but 4.5 BPG in 25 minutes with a 7' 5 1/2" wingspan is clearly something you just can't get anywhere else in Upshaw.

You need to stop referencing NBA 2k12 for your evaluations.

I think you accidentally deleted a wingspan number (7'5.5"). Hard to feel optimistic about Upshaw, but the guy is a game changer on the defensive end. Not sure why the L*kers cut him, but unless the guy is actively on drugs I might take a flyer. Not interested in anyone else at this point.

Why? It looks like we already have a couple guys that are going to do this 50-60 time a game.

Thank you for proving my point. If we had more than two guys who could create their own shot, those two wouldn't have to take all the shots.

Phil Pressey claimed by the Utah Jazz. Scratch him off the list :)

Granger....at least the Blazers are not the only team to lose young stars due to injury.

I guess it depends on what you think the real deal is with Henderson and Aminu on the injury front. If both of them are going to be out or significantly limited for an extended period, picking up another wing makes sense. (Jones maybe?)

Picking up anyone for the sake of preserving anything doesn't make sense this season.

If we can't get Upshaw, we should go for Brendan Haywood.

They picked him up to acquire his D League rights. They still have them even though they released him.
