I almost fell for this scam when I tried to buy a 9-piece DeWalt 18V set. I almost bought a MoneyPak, but then I decided to check it out online. I searched "MoneyPak + scam" and found a number of links. Here's the first one: http://www.dailyfinance.com/2011/06/23/beware-of-green-dot-moneypak-scams/

I hope I'm wrong, but I'm really sorry if you were scammed.

BlazerProhpet, my order still says processing. I have received no shipping confirmation. I have attempted the "contact us" area and have not heard back. I checked out the link that maxiep supplied and it looks like exactly what I fear has happened.

The Consumerist is a blog owned by Consumer Reports. It's excellent. They tackle problems like this all the time. If this is a scam I would write up exactly what happened and send it to them.

Those who believe in small government hope that there are no government regulators to help him. It would waste taxes. Small business has enough paperwork. Also, the scam company might lay off its 50th employee if it has to subsidize their health care.

This country is lawsuit-happy. Too tortious. A limit should be put on lawsuits so that ABM can't get full value back, and so that he can't collect attorney fees from the plaintiff. Consumers should bear some responsibility.

Agencies like SEC, FTC, EPA, and the Consumer Product Safety Commission should be legislated out of business. Subsidized class action suits and Obama's credit card regulations should be reversed. These burdens on the taxpayer stifle productivity of small and large businesses alike. We Libertarians and Republicans want ABM to survive on his own freedom in a Wild West economy.

Why go there? Why try and turn this thread into some BS political argument?

Because I'd been up for 27 hours and I was sure you had started the thread. Oh well, at least I wasn't wrong about anything else.

Now I think I'll go to the Rick Majerus thread and note that he might have gotten a new heart if we had nationalized health care. Ain't I a stinker...

Fuck, it was BP. And now I'm going to be up another 27 today. Prepare for a couple of doozy posts from me around 6 pm...

A steak, hot bath, good woman and 8 hours sleep and you'll be as good as new.
