Well duh....we shouldn't be there. Now would be a good time to make a deal and get the fuck out. Trump could win a massive electoral college landslide if he does. If he gets us in a full blown war.....GONE. I know it is hard considering how Iran threatens all of our military bases by keeping their stupid country right in the middle of them all.
I don't see how Trump can possibly make any sort of deal with Iran at this point. He broke the last deal we made with them, why should they trust him/us? Of course that's what should happen - but the opposite might. barfo
He ain't winning if we have a real war with Iran. I did read one guy's opinion in Bloomberg I think it was that said Iran didn't think Trump would do anything so they have been pushing us so we would lower sanctions. Clearly Trump will do something so let's see if this changes things. I'm not holding out hope but here is his chance.
I don't see how Iran can not react to this. They risk losing control in their own country if they appear to be such pussies. Trump will react to whatever Iran does, because he has only a lizard brain. So whatever they do, he'll escalate once again. The only hope I see is that our intelligence is so good that we repeatedly block whatever they try to do, and thus prevent them from retaliating at all. And that's probably pretty unlikely given the vast number of ways/places/times they can retaliate. barfo
We can't stop them from retaliating, no frigging way. We get mad that they are "terrorists" to us while we invade their region. That is like Shaq getting mad if Danny Devito tried to kick him in the knee in a fight. What else could they do? So they are going to do something somewhere and we'll see if Trump is really as dumb as you say. Then again, maybe they will be smarter knowing what Trump is capable of.
I only count 2 lies in your post, but I will take your word for it if you say you have lied 200,000 times. You could blame it on your TDS.
Fake numbers. States have spent wàaaaaay more than $20 billion to end homelessness and have only increased homelessness. SNAP is barely needed anymore because jobs are available to anyone who wants one. Schools are already over funded. Student debt is the responsibility of the students, as my home debt is my responsibility. Not even a credible issue to bring up. The post suggests we don't need a military and we should fire all of them. That's going to create an awful lot more homeless people, and the fall of our country in an invasion.
America never made a deal with Iran. That's good because Iran has never kept their word with anyone, ever. I know, shocking that a culture of homophobic, misogynistic, cowardly murderers would deliberately lie to people they have threatened to kill, but that's how they roll.
Perhaps someone in the State department can back channel intel to them this started from a rash illogical decision and we can offer half billion for reparations.
Think of all that money Obama's guys channeled to them not to have nuke capability, all based on diplomacy. Trump did not think of those costs, of which were astronomically high and will be worse in all markets worldwide. The future may be un approachable once jihad starts. Bet you the Chinese and Russians found another strategic partner in their anger. Way to bludgeon our future orange head.
Another one bites the dust as the Pentagon Chief of Staff resigns. Just another long list of people who have resigned or been fired in this administration. Why can't your boy keep anyone for very long term?
The money that was given to Iran during the Obama administration: 1. It was Iran's money. They had purchased some fighter aircraft and that deal was nixed when Iran had their revolution. Yes, we owed it to them; 2. It was not given by Obama. It was negotiated in our peace deal with Iran which included a shutdown of Iran's nuclear program for ten years plus making it really difficult and nearly impossible for them to restart their program after ten years that was agreed to by our NATO allies plus Russia plus China. Obama was one of many people who agreed to the deal. Trump's decision to pull out of the deal with Iran as well as the decision to assassinate General Soleimani was strictly his decision. The assassinations was a spur of the moment decision against the advice of many of his supporters in the administration. Of course, those people all changed their tune after the assassination because they knew they'd get the ax like so many before if they didn't toe the line.
I know that vox.com generally leans left, but this seemed at least a little bit objective. Here's what a US-Iran war would look like
