POB needs to be inside and do his sky hook. I hear it awesome (I hope). Not be another Manute Bol.

Actually, it was a deep two and maybe Don Nelson told him to play like that. I dunno, I just thought it was a horrible shot. Not even closer than one of Dunleavy's bricks.

Yeah the shots I have seen POB take have all been like Murphy's shots in his rookie year, 18ft jumpers from the top of the key. He has no business taking those even IF Nelson told him to. His hook shot is smooth and probably his best shot...

Wow, when I saw the score, I was surprised to see the game's leading scorer only scored 31. I was expecting at least a 40+ point performance from Carmelo.

It was a layup drill for him. Again I have to wonder what the hell Nelson was thinking by leaving Andris on the bench for the first 9 minutes of the game.

Nellie was thinking that if Andris gets in early foul trouble-we'd be dead meat.
With so many missing parts it was kind of ragged, even guys who played were not all 100%.

<div class="quote_poster">REREM Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Nellie was thinking that if Andris gets in early foul trouble-we'd be dead meat.</div>See I don't buy that argument at all. I initially had the same thought but it makes no sense. Why save Andris for the end of the game, when he's the most vulnerable to the "Hack-A-Latvian" technique as someone here called it? He may be our most valuable player right now, and his playing time should be maximized. He has the conditioning and youth to handle big minutes, yet he's averaging only 28, where he should be getting closer to 35. Now yes, some of that is from getting into foul trouble, but still, let's get all the time out of him we can. By not starting him you first of all allow the other team to take advantage of a soft inside (which Denver jumped all over last night), and get out to a lead which will require a comeback and making decisions from a position of weakness. Secondly, you're not allowing much time for him to rest during the game. He could have played those first 9 minutes and then taken a 3-minute breather at the end of the quarter. If he happens to get a few fouls on him, then rest him, but why assume it and hamstring your team? Bottom line is the beginning of the game is just as important as the end and the Warriors should be aggressive in trying to get out to an early lead, not set a negative tone for the game of digging themselves a hole early, which is what last year's team did.
