Too bad some of that fg% can't be applied to his free throw %. Man 30-40% career... ouch. He makes Shaq look like Ray Allen or Peja Stojakavic. I'm hoping we find some way to cover up our biggest weaknesses (defense + shooting + inside game). We play defense, we don't have to worry so much about not being able to run the break because we can't make stops. The other thing is if we shoot and play inside better, it affects our floor spacing and the types of things we can do with or without the ball. Other teams will find it easy to exploit us somehow if we don't fix these things. They will keep running the same thing again and again against us to exploit the weakest gap in our D. If we don't shoot ourselves in the foot on our own, every night could potentially be pretty ugly. Baron's got to learn how to defer, Jrich has got to get healthy soon, Murphy's got to learn how to play inside a little bit more, but I like the fact he is passing more these days. I like Diogu, Biedrins and Ellis as key energy guys but they are still rooks who have some rough edges to work on, but they have good overall skill, intensity, and they do at least one or two things very well that fits well with our other star players. I hope Pietrus gets healthy because we're very thin again this year, especially at the size positions. If we don't have the guards to do it, what do we have left to beat opponents before we tire out in the 4th q or through the season? Pushing Jrich, Baron, and Troy for over 38 minutes a game in a fast pace probably isn't that healthy for them.
