Well, whether we judge Mullin now or not, I don't think it will make much different, but I won't hesitate to bash Mullin right now, because he is the main reason why he turned this club, which had abundant young talents with caproom friendly situation, into caproom hell with holes in everywhere.

The thing I don't like about Richardson and Murphy are not so much on why we overpaid him, but why we resigned them when we don't need to. There is hardly any difference of signing them in their 3rd year or 4th year. Richardson received 6 years/ 72 mils, and other team can offer around 72-76 mils at most, and even if we offer him a max, all we can offer him is around 76-80 mils/6 years range. So, in very worst case, we will overpay him around a mil or two per year. Also, we can match any deal in next offseason, so there is no danger of losing them in next offseason either. If we don't get any caproom in this offseason, sure, why not secure them as early as possible. However, we could have around 15-20 mils caproom next offseason, if we decided to renounce them or sign and trade them. Who knows what kind of opportunity future hold? What if some team is willing to trade their superstar? We could have used our young players and caproom to create that chance. But that didn't stop Mullin from closing any future possibilities, and he settled for what he had... Also, it's not like Mullin believed both Richardson and Murphy when he became VP, so he decided to give them extensions as soon as possible. Mullin initally had no intention to resign them in this offseason, since most of not-so-franchise players usually resign in their 4th season. However, their powerful agent, whom I forgot the name, pressured Mullin at the last mins, with a hint of demanding trades, and Mullin caved in. That's why we resigned them in literary last min. It is fortunate that both Richardson and Murphy turned out to be alright, because if they turned out to be busts, we could have envied 49ers' situation.

The bottom line is that our team clearly took several steps back and created new holes, which didn't exist previous years. And, doing so, we didn't add any significant young talents or hopes to look for either, except this year's our own draft pick, which naturally comes with bad record. And, in the middle of this regress, we can find both Mullin and Cohan's handprints all over it. I really hope our future is brighter than our current situation...

The Warriors have been sub-500 and let Jamison,Arenas and Dampier exit without getting a starter out of it who'd be long term. If Murphy and Richardson left too it would be hard to excuse, too embarassing

^Arenas and Jamison had to go, if they didn't, J-Rich would not be like this right now. However it would be nice to have Damp, we need him

The bottom line is that we keep repeating our mistakes time and time again. We have our new found Danny Fortson/Mills in Adonal Foyle and Bimbo Coles/BJ Armstrong in Fisher. I wonder what hot warrior we'll be unloading to dump cap or guy we let walk away for nothing in return. The Jamison deal we totally got screwed in terms of talent the minute we traded NVE for Dale Davis. NVE at least had talent even though his knees were shot and his attitude was kind of poor. If I were him I'd have a poor attitude too because the guys used to winning don't do well in situations when it comes to losing. We need those talentless non-complainers, always upbeat and positive players to bring stability to the organization, but then we suck or we screw up the draft by picking non-impact players like Dunleavy, Fuller, Foyle, etc and we're stupid enough to resign probably one or two of them because of how we let some good players go for nothing.

Actually, if Bogut is too much like Murphy and Marvin Williams is bound to go number 1. It seems like a no-brainer if we get the #1 overall pick, right? If we could just get a star point guard to tie everything together then I think we can pull a Cleveland Cavs or Denver Nuggets in one season. Hard to tell... Marvin Wiliams I hope isn't a Darius Miles, but more like a Lebron. There probably won't be a player like Lebron in a while, though.

Right now we need to get a point guard. It's either Speedy or Fisher that is going to be gone and if Mullin is real stupid, both. We need a guy like Chris Paul. If Paaul is all they say he is, then maybe Mullin can do what Kiki did with Denver and bring in a star small forward like Paul Pierce in return for Dunleavy, Fisher, expiring contracts and a pick, new lineup:

    PG: Chris Paul/ Luis Flores
SG: Jason Richardson/ Mickael Pietrus/ Second Round Pick
SF: Paul Pierce/ Mickael Pietrus/ Zarko Cabarkapa
PF: Troy Murphy/ Eduardo Najera/ Zarko Cabarkapa
    C: Andris Biedrins/ Adonal Folye/ Dale Davis

That is presuming Mullin gets rid of Speedy and Fisher and picks Chris Paul and gets Pierce

That would be a playoff team. Pierce to J-Rich and Biedrins pulling boards, getting points, blocks, that would be sweet

So is this assuming we keep Pietrus, Dunleavy if we get Paul? Because we need at least one guy to matchup with those 6'4-6'7 point guards that are coming into the league. Frankly, I'd love to have one point guard that's at least 6'2-6'4 since they can avoid being posted up every time and also they can look over their defender to see the floor better and shoot right over them. Guys like Francis/Marbury/Baron Davis/Kidd all seem to just own us on mismatches when they start shooting.
