It's just too bad the scheduling is affecting the roster so much and we have a banged up BD. It's amazing how the game still looks winnable.
Let me get this straight... We had a lineup of Davis Fisher Jrich Pietrus Chaney All on the court at the same time? Oh and Ellis got to get in the game...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AnimeFANatic:</div><div class="quote_post">Pietrus is on his way to a double double! 14 pts 9 reb. Cheaney is doing some great work also.</div> And Dunleavy is 0-4. I think the bench Dunleavy petition is officially on!
Well, we are just out of gas after 4 games in 5 nights. I mean, we are even using Cheaney, who played very well, and Monta. Nice effort, but shots aren't just falling tonight. Get some rest and prepare for Monday...
Oh well. The good thing is, we have 3 more games against the Suns. I'm impressed with the bench's effort and I question if Davis will ever be 100% this season.
This not a good start. We might as well rest Baron Davis now and start playing Miles and Fisher and Ellis more. Also where was Taft or Foyle? I guess the Dunleavy 6 game rule doesn't apply.

Cheaney had a nice bunch of plays that led to another teammate getting a steal. If we get the steal or the missed shot we're off and running. Unfortunately, we give too many easy layups and we don't rebound well enough.
I'm so glad I don't have a television. The games, judging by boxscores only, seem to be pretty ugly so far. I agree with CR2 that Baron should rest and get healed. It is going to be detrimental to the team in the long run. It's not a good sign that he is injured already this early in the season. I also agree with benching Dunleavy, wtf is wrong with him. I wish I could make 45 mill for doing nothing. That's be awesome.

I would have liked more timeouts called in the first half to rest our guys. It was an up and down game, hard to ask them to play that many consecutive minutes after the rough schedule. A couple timeouts during the huge Suns run woulda been nice too.

Nah, I think Baron Davis needs even more time than that since hamstring pulls are a several month lingering type of injury. It's the beginning of the season and he's already hurt and this time it's not his bad back. He's just doesn't have the durable body to last despite all that talent. It's like Grant Hill or aging Nick Van Exel. Great physical skills, great all-around talent, but a bum ankle or bad knees. I think he can get over it if he properly conditions himself. Tyson Chandler used to have chronic back problems.
I think Monty has a tendancy to play into what the other teams doing and not to force matchups in our favor. By going so small your giving Phoenix what they want. They want you to go small because they're lacking in big guys. I'd much rather have Taft or Foyle rebounding blocking shots, or clogging the lane, than to have us go small with Cheaney. I'm not bagging on Calbert, it's just that we should go small when other teams are big, and big when other teams are small. It's all about matchups. Oh yeah and 14- 15 points from our all-star small forward Dunsy would have helped!
