The Golden State Warriors are one of the top contenders in getting Kevin Durant this summer according to NBA rumors. But if that Warriors free agency plan fails, the Bay Area team will reportedly look at other free agents in the market including veteran Spanish center Pau Gasol.

Gasol, who has played the last two seasons with the Chicago Bulls, will be turning 36 later this month but he is seen as a serviceable big man even at his age. Gasol averaged a double-double of 17.5 points and 11.4 rebounds plus 3.4 assists and 1.9 blocks in two seasons in Chicago.

According to Ramona Shelburne of ESPN, Gasol does not want to take a pay cut like he did with the Bulls in Chicago and will demand a lucrative deal. It’s not clear how much the Warriors are willing to offer the big man but they have the salary cap space if they can’t sign Durant to a deal this summer.
