This can't be good because Fisher is in the game and Baron is sitting. Our best rebounder has been replaced by Mike Dunleavy Jr. at power forward. Also nobody is playing any defense like usual and strugging with free throws as usual. When we had Jamison and Arenas on our team, our ft% and getting to the line never used to be a problem.

Casssell, Z, and Odom are kind of injury prone so I'd watch out. I'd keep Bosh, Gasol, and Harrington or try to find another trade. Bosh could be a franchise player, Gasol is pretty solid. Never underestimate a player in his contract year.

Unfortunately we'll never see how Dunleavy would play when he's in a contract year... Hopefully he catches on soon.

Taft got a block and forced a TO. Not bad.

I guess I gotta concede Fish just ain't a point G...but let that be our little secret until the day he's traded. Right now,I suspect Miles or even Ellis could fill the role as well. Fisher can score, can get to the line, but the offense just turns into a playground pick-up game with him in there. This was often the case last year-now it seems to be the case every night.

And some good news...Fish is wearing an ice pack, may rest the rest of this one and Taft is moving and showing a bit of hustle. Here comes Zarko,It would be a good night for him to get hot

Dunnothing is signed when we didn't have to and Fish is locked up... Jeez. We could be in trouble if Cohan/Mullin doesn't sign the right players we could have signed in future years.

Taft sounds like he is doing well. I am sitting in my car outside my apartment listening by Sirius...

Man, I'm gonna say that Taft is as good as a shot blocker as Foyle. Has great timing, reach, and athleticism.

Hes playing well, the stats dont show it though. Hes protecting the rim well and I am impressed by his lateral quickness. Hes obviously very athletic but he needs to lear n how to box out, right now he just doesnt get many rebounds. He does have 2 blocks in 7 minutes though. I'm impressed so far, especially considering how raw he is.

This sucks, what Zaza Pachulia is doing is not even a move. It's just a raw rush toward the basket.

Anyway, it's half time and it's pretty much all the crap I've been complaining about even after we've acquired Baron Davis. We're not good defending weakside, on the perimeter or in the post. Just see Murphy defending weakside and Foyle defending the post (he gives up way too much ground). We're not a good rebounding team, we're not a good team that can shoot free throws if we manage to get to the line consistently. We can't create offense when Baron or Jrich is not involved on the floor. This is why I think the Dunleavy signing is all the more ridiculous. He just can't carry our team like those two do and in order to be productive he needs to make better passes and score a whole lot more. He'll only play D if he isn't getting burnt and we're playing against a group of very athletic forwards.

Also, if our backcourt struggles the rest of the team struggles because we have no way to score unless it's guards posting up or driving. The rest of the guys don't contribute consistently unless other people are setting them up.

I'm pissed. This is a pathetic team effort. Losing to the frickin' Hawks at home by double digits?

I hope it's just opening night jitters like Barnett optimistically hints at.

We can pull up with a win because the 2nd half is the only half that matters. We're not buried in the first half so we're good to pull away if we notice what the problem is and we start executing, taking care of the ball, playing some d, and rebounding.

Allowed 11 offensive rebound and turned the ball over 12 times.

At least Dunleavy matched his TO with points + rebounding + assist. Nice way to respond right after signing the big fat contract.

Hope we can turn the game around in second half...

I think so. So much hype in the offseason. Dunnothing getting re-signed. We'll get better. I think the Warriors are trying something new against a team that's more athletic than us. They're just picking us off and running it. Our team is so slow compared to them, even though they are smaller and we have the size advantage to post up. We don't have any post game.
