Nice all around game by the W's after stinking it up in the 1st half. There was no flow until late in the 2nd and then Baron got his 3rd foul which put him on the bench and the flow stopped.

Without Baron, the W's just have no offensive flow. He gets everyone involved which is the PGs primary role. Nice to see Murphy score from the post, Foyle throw down a serious slam on a pick and roll, and the ball moving. The W's need to get out on the fastbreak to get their offense going.

Curious why the Hornets did not go to David West more, he was scoring consistently. But the W's played much better D in the second half. Chris Paul is a player.

Actually got to watch the game last night while I'm on vacation. The Warriors looked a lot better on the inside and Fisher couldn't miss last night. I really like Troy Murphy's energy on the court, he's in the mix for every rebound and he had a nice and 1 beating West down the court for a layup. If Murphy could just stop settling for those long jumpers, and drive to the basket more, he'd be a lot more efficient. If he could muscle in layups he could be the left handed version of Elton Brand.

Andris Biedrins was also impressive on the interior. He's not looking as mechanical as he did last season and is great at tipping shots in. I think he had at least 4 or 5 offensive boards last night and his length disrupted the Hornets when they drove to the basket. Ike Diogu was also a monster on the offensive glass, and has a soft touch around the rim. Once he gets that pull up jumper working like he did in college, he's going to be a good one for the Warriors.

One play I noticed the Warriors getting burnt on over and over again was the pick and roll. Chris Paul was hurting them with those 15 footers everytime Baron ran into a pick. Chris Paul even took it to the rim uncontested early on when both players switched to West, leaving the lane wide open. The big man on the play needs to do a better job of stepping out and forcing the point guard to go wider.

I'm not a big fan of Dunleavy, but he does a lot of suttle things on the court to get the offense going. He's a great passer and even though he doesn't get credited for the assist, he is responsible for the play leading up to the assist. He also had some nice drop passes to JRich cutting under the hop. I think he played more confident being matched up with Nachbar. He was actually driving to the basket instead of settling for the jumpshot.

Yes on the P&R. Baron made an adjustment later in the game by going under the screen instead of over, which forced Paul to shoot rather than drive uncontested. I just wish they (Warriors) did that from the beginning. I don't think the fault should be the big man since they don't want a potential mis-match where Foyle or Murphy or whoever would be left guarding Chris Paul or Speedy on the perimeter and Davis in the low block.

Well, I don't know Murphy will ever come close to Brand's level, but he has been very effective mixing up his outside jumper and drive this season. Heck, when his outside jumper is falling, he is capable of dropping 25 pts against Duncan.

Biedrins and Diogu really helped inside, and it may not be coincident that our team looks a lot more efficient after Diogu and Biedrins' recovery from injuries. Many Warriors fans are surprised that Biedrins kept himself from picking up 6 fouls in 6 seconds for last few games as well. He still is extremely raw and has no offensive game to speak of. But, he has a nose for the ball and great hands. Diogu has been a force in the middle as well. He can drive, pump fake, post up, grab rebounds and shoot a silky smooth FTs as well. If he can also demonstrate midrange jumper, which he should be capable of, along with Pietrus, he will be an instant scoring punch from the bench during this season.

Defense still is a working process, and neither Foyle nor Murphy are great at stopping pick and roll. Foyle is a shot blocker, and most of shot blockers don't like to go beyond 6 fts. And, Murphy's help defense is nonexistant anyway.

Dunleavy can do so many things when his shooting is dropping. When defenders have to honor his outside jumper, he can drive or find open man from corner and shows his intangibility. Of course, problem arises when Dunleavy can't hit from outside. That's why he looks good when he has high shooting % and becomes invisible when he can't hit the jumper...
