I put this on the players and not the coaching staff. Our guys are just missing shots and getting bombarded on the other end. At some point, you just go catatonic. Like I said, it's no fun, but it happens.
You can't win in the playoffs without your stud players. Looks like you can probably get by in the regular season, but the stars shine in the playoffs. Phoenix has more talent at every position over us. It doesn't give Nate a free pass but there's only so much Nate can do when you're clearly playing a better team.
I can agree with part of that, but this team is struggling to score against one of the weaker defensive teams in the league. Is it really just a lack of confidence or is it something to do with the offensive philosophy. I honestly don't know the answer to that question. A bigger issue for me is the fact that this team doesn't appear to be playing all that hard ... again is that a Nate problem or a player problem? Maybe it's equal measures of both.
This......I really think that losing Batum was devastating to our team from a mental standpoint. In addition to our best perimeter defender, he was our third best scorer. Without him we just don't have the firepower to keep up.
