Did you ever take classes with or run into any of them on campus? (Yes, I agree, Michigan is a great sports school.)

Yeah I saw it too. CJ Verdell during the post game press conference said the playcall was a "Three cap". So I think CJ might have given away that play card code haha oregongame.jpg

Edit: To be clear--this was the playcall right before the timeout by Washington. The very next play after the timeout was the CJ touchdown.

Did the Huskies play the nickel defense every play; I didn't really notice. I'm sure they played them every time Oregon actually passed because they almost always passed when it was clear they had no choice. I'm even OK with them emphasizing the run, but I thought it was too predictable; I think they only passed once on first down.

If they didn't, they have been, thus the reason for yesterday's game plan.

    Scheme
Washington runs one of the more unique defensive schemes in college football. In order to combat the pass happy offenses they faced week in and week while out at Boise State and now Washington, Petersen and Kwaitowski were one of the first adopters of the nickel as a base defense that’s now common throughout college football. But they took it even a step further and elected to use a 2-4-5 package instead of the classic 4-2-5 you see many use or even the 3-3-5 that’s becoming pretty prevalent in the Big 12 these days

I was so excited to finally sit down and watch the recorded game a few hours after it played. It was a great back and forth battle right up until my recording stopped at the start of the 4th qtr. Seriously??

    Nice win Ducks!!
