CJ is not enough to help Lillard? imho, CJ was better than Lillard in the 2016-2017 season. Lillard can't complain if he's not an elite defender. He's not a top tier player and he knows it, be calm.
I wonder if this might have been part of the motivation for Lillard's veganism/weight loss. Is it possible that he's seeking to be leaner so as to be more "slithery" and energetic on the defensive end??
I actually thought the same in mid June....... when the teams in OUR division loaded up their rosters with talent, that was it. We play Minny/OKC what 8 times...... those are going to be tough games to get a W. I think that's maybe 6 or 7 losses right there. I'm not as high on Denver as some, so won't count them as tough.
For me, yes. I'm tired of investing in teams and having them consistenly not challenge for a title. I'm not a fan of participation awards or moral victories. It's a rough life being a Blazer, Oakland Raiders and Oregon State fan. But it's whatever. It's why I don't watch as many games as I used to.
Im not a fan of those either... I just dont lose sleep over if were gonna compete or not either. (Not implying you do, just using it for dichotomous reasons.)
I expect the Blazers to be significantly better than they were last season. And I expect their record won't reflect how good they are because they are surrounded by "super teams". Fucking NBA.
He thinks it means less wear and tear on his body. He's starting early on the idea of extending his career.
Wasted away again in Lillardville Searching for my lost championship Some people claim that there's a Olshey to blame But I know it's KP's fault barfo
Headin' up to Tualatin city, For the Blazers' training camp. I've got my new unis on, I guess I never was meant for Stockton's pick'n'roll And Melo, I didn't know That I'd be hatin' you so
Bro, that's at minimum 3 times. Youre overrating the individual Tashkent and disregarding how it fits together. You're also underrating our guys. We should easily split the home series with both of those teams, and find at least 1 win in those other 4 games. I think that we will end up 8-8 in division play, with 3 wins over UTA, 2 over MIN and DEN, and 1 over OKC. For the rest of the conference, I think we'll finish at least 20-14. We only play HOU and GSW 3 times. A pessimistic view says we only win 1 of those 6. I'll think we'll beat the Spurs twice (like last year). Other than that, we should easily have the upper hand. LAC? NOP? MEM? All below us. I think we'll also finish at least 20-10 against the mediocre east as well. That's 48 wins, at least, and it's not far fetched at all.
Newsflash: every year 29 teams don't win the championship, and 28 don't even compete for one. Most teams did not land a star in a trade this year. Lots of good players never win a championship. But many players that have played in Portland end up really loving it, and live here after their careers are over.
I think it's going to be a very good season. We have a couple of elite starting guards and a potentially dominating center. If we get some good play from our forwards we are going to be tough to beat.
