If you’re so broken up about wasting Lillard’s Prime, don’t watch the team. Don’t go to a game. Don’t pay for Vue or cable. And then write Paul Allen a letter telling him that, until Neil has a sure thing contender on his hands, you’re not wasting your time with the team either. Put your money where your mouth is.

(I’d also recommend writing that letter on toilet paper because Paul will probably want to wipe his ass with it)

In fairness, if someone were going to respond in that manner to a letter I'd written, I'd prefer it be on sandpaper.

You want a soft touch with Paul; the letter to Neil can be more abrasive. :ghoti:

I hoping a for good year and thank our starter can play with most teams in this league as long as this team is healthy. If we get great support from our bench than we will be alright. I know on paper OKC and Minny added one or 2 superstars then automatic people think there going be great. If those players don't mesh together than everyone theory goes to shit. It still a team game that why the Spurs been where they are over the years because they play as a team. As great as Golden state is they still play as a team that why these type team will be there every year. We play the game on the court not on paper and we all can assume how the season will play out. But one key injury to someone on a team might be difference getting to the playoffs or the lottery.

Yeah I tend to agree with this. For the most part out west, most teams are on par with us. GS and OKC are better.

SA because of Pop will be tough but who knows who he will be resting those two games at Moda. Plus they start Dejounte Murray at PG and Pau at center......

Is Houston really better than us with Ryan Anderson, Capella and Ariza starting? Yes they were last year, but I also think they over achieved last year. But I will include them in the better than us group nonetheless.

Has Minnesota past us? They might have, but the Jazz. Memphis, and Clippers might have all slipped behind us.

I think maybe 4-5 teams are better than us out west but there is about 8 who are potentially worse than us. Can we have a winning record against the east?

We have actually been trying to get stars here, just couldn't get it done for various reasons. You cannot really protect yourself from a GM not willing to deal with you because of the past or a player not wanting to waive a no-trade clause. There is very little NO can do now other than wait for another opportunity get a good player at a swallowable price.

Probably would have happened earlier if @HCP hadn't scared away all the new members.
