Someone should send the league this 538 article. Oh, and remind them that Dame was clearly the best player on the court last Friday. https://fivethirtyeight.com/feature...t-currying-steph-curry/?addata=espn:nba:index
It could be a sentimental vote similar to giving Carmelo his POW award. Lebron's speech alone may have been enough.
That sad thing is that game in LA last Friday was apparently the most watched regular season NBA game in the last 20 yrs since Yao faced up vs Shaq. And Dame was by far the best player on the floor that included Davis and Lebron. Just a damn shame.
Technically, Dame's second POW was for the week ending Feb. 2nd, so it probably would be included in consideration of this month's POM award.
Bron was at 10.4, Dame was at 8.4, minor difference, especially given that lebron averaged 4.4 turnovers, while Dame was at 2.9
This is literally the next tweet after their announcement of PotM in which they get bombarded about Dame not getting it. Dame is actually averaging 49 points per game over the past 6, but OK.
Ok, LBJ is great and his team has had a better record all year (and last month), but wow what does Dame gotta do, he averaged more points, being more efficient, and more assists. Carried a team basically by himself while LBJ gets to play with another top tier guy in AD. I think you could argue Dame, Kawhi and Russ all had just as good if not better months than LBJ did...
