Ultimately though I think the Lakers match better with the Nugs than the Rockets largely because the Nuggets' have shit as far as perimeter defenders to guard Kobe. Battier/Ron on Kobe was huge IMO.

Re: WCF: Lakers vs. Nuggets I'm going Lakers in 6 for one reason: the series vs. the Rockets. I think the Lakers could take this series in a sweep or 5 because of how well we match up with them. However, knowing us, we'll get bored and complacent and throw at least one game away, and I think the Nuggets will obviously play well enough to beat us once at their place. In the end though, I don't think the Nuggets play enough defense to beat us. We have so much offensive talent that it's going to give them fits. Plus, for whatever reason, I enjoy the thought of Linas Kleiza and JR Smith attempting to guard Kobe. That usually ends well for us. So, Lakers in 6...maybe 5 if they don't get too complacent.
Re: WCF: Lakers vs. Nuggets I'm Anti-Laker so I am picking Nuggets in 7. Lakers haven't proved anything this season. It took them 7 games to beat a Yao-less, Tmac-less Rocket team. If they had championship on their minds, they would've swept us. If they can gain some confidence from beating us, they can easily take Denver. But obviously, my hate for the Lakers makes me not want to see them in the Finals again so I'm going for Denver. Chauncey will have his ways, lets see if Kobe can do his thing.

Re: WCF: Lakers vs. Nuggets The reason it took the Lakers so long is because they had zero focus on that series for the most part. The Lakers are exactly like the Pistons from previous seasons have been. They know their better than their competition, so they think they can slack off during the game, they end up getting complacent, and then they lose. The Lakers you saw in the 40 point blowout of you guys and then in game 7 are the real Lakers. They have the ability to dominate on both ends of the court night in and night out. It's just a matter of them keeping focus on the game at hand and not looking too far forward. Believe me, if they focus on each game of this series instead of thinking about the Finals, they'll easily take out the Nuggets in 4 or 5. As I said though, I'll take them in 6 because I think they'll give a game away and I think Denver will get one win on their HC. But mark my words, if the Lakers show up, the Nuggets stand no chance.
Re: WCF: Lakers vs. Nuggets i think umair might be getting at the fact that if the lakers dont show up the way they should, they'll lose the series, and i agree, if they play like they did against the rockets than i dont see it even going to 7. But i also believe the lakers wont play that way at all, and i also believe the lakers have proven that they are contenders still, maybe not as c learly as the cavs have, but listen to what people say about the cavs, they are a one-man, one-dimensional team, that is what has given lebron the chance to achieve the stats he does, but whether that is the kind of basketball wins you a championship is another thing. lakers will get past nuggs, i think they might not look so great against us once it all begins.
