Charles Barkley proposed the Suns go SMALL against the Lakers.

I really hope this Odom shows up from here on out :] At least until we've got that Championship trophy hoisted.

great game by kobe, nice showing up from odom.

i dont know about the rest of you guys, but part of me wants to see the suns win this series. I know, bad, but nash is such a warrior, as well as grant hill. but nash is such a hard player, he goes full pelt until the end. he has been trying so long to get a chip, but has always come up short. i understand that kobe wants his "revenge" since the suns trumped us several times, but i still have a soft spot for nash.

anyway, its wierd, ive always really hated the suns, but i cant hate on nash, he's a stand up guy, i have a lot of respect for him as a player and as a person, i hope he gets his chance at a chip, even if it isnt this year, because i figure lakers will probably take the suns in 6.

Not suprised at all, L.A. just has to much size and length for Phoenix to handle, on top of that they are very versatile with Odom to be able to chase the 3 point shooters off the 3 point line.

Lakers should sweep them, the way Boston is playign I wouldn't be shocked if they sweep Orlando especially if they get game 2.

I'm going to agree with HK. I think a HEALTHY CP3 is top 5 players in the league. (Kobe, LeBron, Durant). Make that Top 4.

Re: WCF: Lakers vs. Suns (Best of 7)

    And a couple of things:
Kobe's injured knee?? WHAT knee?? The Mamba is still the best in basketball. GREAT all-around performance tonight.

I, too, say LA in 5. I don't understand why people are saying that "the Suns are being underestimated." They match up HORRIBLY against us.

Someone mentioned about breaks in the league being a reason for the league's decline. I agree. I also believe that, I'm not sure who is in charge of it but my guess is David Stern, this league has became a league for pussy prima donnas. I want the "Flagrant 1" foul to be eliminated, and I want the pregame fraternizing to come to an end. And STOP fining coaches/players for gamemanship. Fines take away from the game, Mr. Stern, NOT gamemanship. That ADDS to the game, and MAY increase TV ratings.

Also, Bynum HAS to be on his way out this summer. I'm too tired with being patient with him when we have a possible dynasty in the making. Injured in ALL playoffs, AND he could have gotten surgery, sit out a round or two, and come back healthy and chose to "play through it?" Some may admire this, I think it's just plain stupid.

    GET CHRIS BOSH 2010.

What if Bynum goes to Toronto and becomes this great superstar and stays healthy. Then what ? Come on man he's only 23 you can't give up on him yet.

Why should we assume he stays healthy, and that he'll play at a level above Chris Bosh?

You don't bet on players like Andrew going forward, they're clearly risks.

Re: WCF: Lakers vs. Suns (Lakers lead 1-0)

If the Lakers play like they did last night for the rest of the series, at least offensively, I don't see how the Suns are going to beat us. We dominated the paint, pounded the glass and defended the three point line very well, as well as make 47% of ours. The only way the Suns are going to beat us is if they manage to stop us down low, which I don't think is going to happen. I'll still take LA in 6, because I think Phoenix will get red hot for a couple games, but if there's another game like this, it could be a sweep or 5 games.

I understand were you're coming from, seeing as how I love Nash and Grant Hill is one of my favorite players (on and off the court) of all time, but no. Just no.

At least you understand, lol. I would never want the Suns to win this series, regardless of who was on that team. I'm a Lakers fan through and through, and I'd rather see them succeed then see an individual from another team get the title.

The only time I'd ever be torn on who I want to win is if the Bulls were playing the Lakers in the Finals, because they were my team growing up and I still love that team.

I think that's stupid that if you have a favorite team, like the lakers, then you can't like other players as well. I don't want to see the Celtics win but I love how Rondo plays, and Nash has been one of my favorites as well.

Gotta agree. I cant see Bynum playing extended years healthy. He is just injury prone. He's a monster when he is healthy, but if we can get Bosh to play PF and get Gasol to play center, I say make the move...
