Agree, yenniedn. I mean, look at the Pistons with Rodman, Laimbeer - talk about distraction! The Bulls managed to keep Rodman under control. Shaq/Kobe feuded and (sorry to say) their team still won. The Warriors are a sunshine team. They thrive in sunshine, harmony, milk and cookies. They are not a trench warfare team. They'd probably melt like sugar sculpture in the Pacific Northwest.

Nervous? The people in my office aren't even talking about the GSW's today. It's like they've moved on - the Sharks are winning their series so I fully expect a run on Sharks gear this week. If anyone wants some free GSW gear, I should be able to find plenty at the Goodwill donation centers starting today.

LOLZ, this just hit my inbox (I'm on the mailing list because I take my son to the GSW/Blazers games when they're in town) . . . there is still a "limited" number of tix available for Game 5. Are you friggin' kidding me? If the Blazers were the defending champs, had the 2 time reigning MVP, had just won 73 games in the regular season, and were supposed to be the greatest team ever, I'd think these tix would've been sold out the first day they became available?

OK, I couldn't resist and had to click the link to find out exactly how "few" tickets were available.

One thing people fail to mention. The Warriors atleast have seen a title recently. Not a lot of fans can say that

Just an FYI - my favorite word for years has been "unscathed". It's a word you really only read in books but I've actually had occasion to use it a few times in my life and left the conversation feeling very full of myself. :smiley-istra:

I gots mad vocab skillz. :smiley-woohoo:

It doesn't appear as though the GSWs will come out of this series unscathed...

they is gonna be so scathed!!!

Best I can do as a first generation immigrant on ESL.

At lunch, a colleague asked a Warriors fan, "So, when do the Warriors lose their next game?"

I had to bite my lip to not LOL.

Scathed and unscathed used correctly and in context... I hand over my GOAT trophy to you sir. That reminds me... did you hear Kenny talking last night about Steph Curry making a "prolific" comment about his team.

Maybe Kenny was talking about the number of seats available in Game 5 when he used the word "prolific".

FYI, Warriors fans in Warriors forums are actually a lot more like us than like the bandwagon Laker fans many accuse them of being. Case in point, I posted the following on Warrior's World:

    The first response:

Although, looking at it again, I guess this guy isn't really giving us any credit, as he's basically saying it was only a tough series because the Warriors weren't focused.

    What a prick!

If you look closely at that gold Toyota in the middle, there remains one GSW car flag in the lot whereas these were rampant a week or so ago. Props to this guy for staying the course I guess!

I apologize to my Blazer brethren if I appear to be exulting in the Warriors' misery a little too much - but living here in the middle of them (especially in the last year+) has been, to borrow BlazerCaravan's word, truly insufferable.

I have several friends from Oregon who were very casual basketball fans until this year when they were suddenly "Long time Warriors fans". Sure.... Suddenly, they are no longer posting stuff about Curry and the Warriors every day on facebook. I'm sure they will *defenestrate all of their Warriors gear after game 5.

*defenestrate is my personal favorite word. And after game 5, the Warriors hopes and dreams shall be defenestrated.

Thank you and I am humbled to have been bestowed such an honor! I did not catch Kenny's post game - I typically try to avoid those as much as possible for my own sanity. But that's not surprising to hear that come out of his mouth and you're probably right that he was referring to the availability of seats at Oracle for tomorrow night!

Let a Bay Area resident translate that for you:

"You were only able to go 5 games with us because we weren't focused since you guys lack the talent, depth, and experience to hang with us."

The other replies are similar. Like this guy who says the Blazers really aren't any good, and the fact that the series was close said more about the Warriors than anything else.

And these guys, who of course attribute all difficulties to Curry's injury issues

    And here's my favorite:

Maybe the Warriors' problems with OKC are our fault because we weren't a good enough tune-up for the WCF. Darn Blazers--they should have made the Warriors have to try harder!!
