Considering we led for much of that series, I don't see how they think it was some walk in the park. It took 17 points in OT from Curry in game 4 for them to keep the series from going 6 games.

Funny how demoralized the Warriors fans are considering their team is not yet eliminated. Blazers fans stuck around to the final buzzer. We did not capitulate. Neither did the team. They persevered to the end.

Funny how much trouble I'm having trying to think of big words off the top of my head. I guess being a professional tech editor/writer has that effect; all my professional life is about using simple and clear language.

Sounds like he'd agree with what I'm saying in the Is GSW Overrated thread. If the Blazers aren't all that good, and the way the series played out says more about GSW than POR, then it stands to reason that GSW isn't anywhere near being the best team of all time.

    Told ya ;)

I'm sorry but no one's going to convince me that there wasn't some ridiculous bandwagoning going on around here. I live right smack in the middle of them and have seen it happen blatantly within my own circle of friends. Any winning team is going to get their share of bandwagoners, I get that - but what gets me is that they were portrayed as the golden boys and doing it the right way when, as it's been now clearly demonstrated, they have one of the biggest douches as the heart of the team.

Plus, having to endure the endless Warriors circle jerking on local sports talk everyday is pretty unbearable. I could put up any number of past audio clips of the Draymond portion of Tom Tolbert's drive time show and you'd throw up in your mouth. Serves their smug asses right to get bounced now. (Don't anyone come in here and tell me they're coming back to win the next 3 games b/c they're not.)

Oh, they're fully convinced that it's ALL about Steph. They've got a thread saying "hard to believe that some ass sweat is going to ruin our season", and vehemently shouting down the one guy in there who had the audacity to suggest that they'd lose either way because OKC is just playing really well right now. As far as Warrior fan is concerned, they are the best team ever and are just suffering from some bad luck.

Hm, Some people here seriously said that we should break up the team and start over after we lost Game 4

    @dviss1
What call would you make on this play?
Charge? Foul on Green? Play on?

    Intentional.

    His legs clamp and lift.

Fuck Adam Silver. It doesn't matter if he's doing it intentionally or not - he's reckless and could hurt somebody. He's turning into Artest.

Remember Bogut calling Lillard "reckless" for Iggy's injury? Watch that play, that's what unintentional looks like.

On a block charge call ask yourself 2 questions. If the answer is yes to both, it's a player control (offensive) foul:
    1. Did the defender obtain and maintain a legal guarding position?
    2. Does the offensive player go to AND through the defender?
In the instance above, Green obtains a legal guarding position. Kanter goes to but NOT through Green. There's only marginal contact. Play on.

    Now....

In an effort to embellish contact, Green flops like a little BITCH while following through and purposefully tripping Kanter.

This is an unsporting foul. A Technical foul is the proper penalty.

This is the only other play I can remember in recent memory that's similar.
If I remember correctly, Deli wasn't given a tech. Nor was he assessed one by the NBA after the game.
If you were one of the ref's would you have favored a tech on this play for Deli?
I do believe the ref's got it right on Gibson, can't react like that.

    Dirty play, AND unnecessary contact.
    I agree with you.
How the NBA justifies not giving Green a tech/flagrant for this play is beyond me.
    Whatever Thunder in 5.

It's weird. I was kinda hoping GS doesn't get two titles that easily.

Considering the playoff adversity LeBron and OKC have been through, I didn't feel that it was right that Curry would just waltz into two straight finals appearances.

I'm excited for CLE v OKC. Both KD and Bron deserve titles. Nearly 10 yrs in and KD has only one pseudo finals appearance. James is only 2-5 in the Finals. For their legacy, I'm hoping this is the final matchup.

The bandwagoners at work were at lunch talking about the San Jose Sharks.

Now if the Sharks and Warriors lose, will it be Giants baseball talk?

Hopefully A's. But I'm OK with Sharks. It would actually be rather a laugh if the Sharks win the title and Warriors eliminated in WCF.

Gotta give it to OKC's coach, he did a hell of a job in this series, his players knew exactly what the opposing players wanted to do at all times and were comfortable with their defensive gameplan.

Donovan was underrated and even ridiculed throughout the season by the media, but he is no clown.
