That's what happens when a coach lets a player start dictating substitution patterns. The OKC coaches, Westbook and Donovan, need to take a look at at official box score from nba.com, the +/- column in particular, and figure out how to get their most efficient scorer and little more playing time.

As a Portland Trail Blazer fan, I am delighted at the way this series has played out. It has gone from a series where I didn't want to see either team win to one where I can't wait to see who loses. Because, whoever loses, it will be an epic choke job and a demoralizing defeat.

After Draymond Green kicked Steven Adams in the nuts and didn't get suspended, less than 24 hours after Dahntay Jones got suspended for a less egregious groin shot, I wanted the arrogant, entitled Warriors to lose. Seeing them not even make the finals after winning 73 regular season games would have slammed the door on the Best Team Ever debate.

But now, I'm back to wanting OKC to lose. Their lying owners that lie, stole that team from Seattle. I hate Westbrook's particular brand of selfish, me-first hero ball. They are a division rival. So, I want to see that team fail. I want them to collapse and lose this series after blowing out GSW in games 3 and 4 and taking a commanding 3-1 series lead. I want to see them snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. I want that entire organization and their entire fan base to suffer a demoralizing defeat.

And again, it is Westbrook leading the way. Telling his coach to "take him out" in plain sight on national TV is NOT the action of a team player, or a leader. He totally threw Kanter under the bus in the second quarter of a game that would end up being a blow out win. That action destroyed team unity. Teams win championships. Selfish, me-first assholes don't.

But, the real reason I want to see OKC lose is so Durant leaves. The finger pointing in OKC has already started and Durant is already becoming a scapegoat. If he leaves, it will be the first domino that brings that organization into years of 15 - 25 win seasons, because if Durant leaves, Westbrook won't be far behind and for a team that plays 2-on-5, there won't be much left.

Weakening our division rival benefits us, but there is also some karma at work here for the way that team was stolen from the fans in Seattle. They were gifted a team that was loaded with high draft picks and their cheap, lying owners are about to piss it all away. That city was gifted a team that has had only one losing season - their honeymoon season of 2008-09. By their second year in OKC, they were already a 50-win playoff team. That fan base has not had to prove their loyalty by suffering through any kind of diversity. I'd like to see how many of their hillbilly fans stick with that team through five or six consecutive losing seasons. Not many, I suspect. In which case, they never deserved that team in the first place.

Kevin Durant is not better than Walton, and I'm still taking Drex.

Typical: the one time I actually root for the Thunder and they fuck it up. Now I feel all dirty for nothing.

Worth remembering, though: the Blazers were 3-1 down to the Lakers in 2000 and nobody remembers because we blew that 15 point lead in the 4th quarter.

well shit. First I wanted GSW to sweep. It legitimizes the series against the Blazers. Then I wanted OKC to win, so we could shut them premadonnas up (GSW). Now I want them to win again so KD leaves....
Uggh.. The love of the game is tearing me apart!!!!

I ate crow last night for a snack...An early crow meal because OKC is now done...

No doubt the lineup has been effective, but it clearly wasn't effective for most of game 6 and Donovan went back to it and it ended up costing them. But I get it, you have to play the lineup that you most believe in to try and close out a series. It just seemed like that lineup had a tough time switching on ball screens and also gave up some second chance points.
Bottom line is that it didn't really seem like the Thunder played well for most of the game. They were up 8 most of the game when they could have been up 18. Once Klay and Steph got hot, I suppose it didn't really matter what lineup they threw out there.

Just set yourself up for another meal. Not sure who is going to win this series but it is safe to say it ain't over yet.

NBA should modify the replay rule, so that if they are looking at an out of bounds call, and they are going to reverse the call on the floor, but replay clearly shows a foul caused the ball to go out of bounds, they should not reverse the call.

Ah, I started watching mid way through the 3rd and missed that. Looks like Kanter was the only + Thunder last night. He was +15 and shot 4/5.

They were beating the Warriors with "big ball"

Perhaps this will open the door for a Kanter trade.

As much as I'd like Durant to leave OKC high and dry, I DON'T want him to go to the Lakers or Spurs. God that would piss me off. If that's the outcome I'd rather he continue his futile career in Hicksville.

I'll laugh if Olshey trades for Kanter. I prayed OKC would match when Olshey made that offer last year. A year later, with the cap going up, IDK anymore. Yeah our interior defense would still suck. But with Dame & CJ in the backcourt, Meyers & Kanter in the front court, and Aminu or Harkless or Crabbe on the wing, shit that team would score buckets. Honestly, I'd pay to see that. ;)

Might have been true if Oden (and Roy) had stayed healthy. An Oden/Roy/Aldridge/Batum team could have been a serious title contender for a decade.

    But, well, yeah.

I'm pretty sure Draymond Green could longdick Silvers wife at halftime and he would get away with it.

Or we could pair Kanter with a defensive specialist at center. His offense is so superb.
