As i've stated many times , Siakam & DeRozan would be the additions i'd be most excited about. But Bridges/ Claxton or Zion and supporting players would be intriguing as well.

Jaynes was Canzano before Canzano was Canzano and both of them can go jump in a lake just before it freezes over

Clownzano's from California. I wish he was "Going back to Cali". But Jaynes has infested my favorite radio show. I miss Travis. Happy for him though. I've listened to the other local station in that time slot, and it's OK. But i like Chad a ton, even though he talks too much freakin' golf. I can live with that though.

    Simons/Nurk/#3 and #23
    for Bridges/Claxton/Mills

I can’t tell, because I’m a Blazers homer, but is this in the realm of realistic?

I would think so based on the fact I had to hesitate if I wanted the Blazers to do it.
As long as the Nets want to start over

Guess it depends on who/which rumors you believe... I think it was on Highkin's podcast yesterday where 3 + Ant was worth more than just Bridges.

So that would make whatever the "more" was + Claxton + Mills = Nurk and 23.

Feels to me like an overpay on our part.

Then trade Nas & Keon plus future unprotected 1st & 2-3 2nd rounders to Chicago for DeMar DeRozan. Claxton, Grant , Bridges , DeRozan , Dame. Bench : Sharpe, Mills, Mays, Watford , Eubanks. I like It!

    This is encouraging to me:

Woj said there's not a player who is currently available for trade who is worth the #3 pick. And if it's Scoot at 3, the Portland will take him and try to figure it out. The value in having a guy on a rookie scale deal who could be an all star is really high and none of the guys on market at this moment meet that threshold, and the Portland FO apparently feels similar. Also mentioned how engaged Dame is and is probably aligned with this thought process for now.

I don’t understand how they think this is realistically possible.

Sounds like posturing. They want Brooklyn to change their mind.

Maybe Jordan would take him over Scoot for 2?

    That bench has
I will say though that if DeRozan is also involved that's intriguing as well. Nurk, Grant, DeRozan, LaVine, Dame. That's juicy.

Even projecting this is fine. Better then giving in to all their demands.

I'm assuming, since a rookie scale was mentioned, part of Woj's calculus is the contract status of the 'available' players. Siakam and Brown will be on expiring contracts and when balanced against essentially the 7 year guarantee of a rookie scale-->extension, expirings have negative value. Zion is the opposite in that his contract has high potential to be a boat anchor. Bridges has the best contract, but it's such a small sample size of him being a 1st option it's hard to trust it

so yeah, I think the Blazers should want more for trading the 3rd pick than what we've heard so far. And I'm still mostly convinced other teams will be setting too high a price

there has been a very artificial deadline set on Portland's use of that pick. If traded, it doesn't have be as a pick. The Blazers can make the pick, sign the player, and trade him later. Trade deadlines can generate blockbuster trades sometimes. Theoretically, Miller would be a better fit into the roster; Scoot would be more problematic but that doesn't mean the problems couldn't be resolved or deferred
