I like KAT. By that I mean I like KAT if it's for Ant, Nas and 23 and then maybe some future seconds if they need a sweetener. If Scoot is there we could still add a guy like Bridges for 3, Nurk and Knox but I would want at least pick 21 coming back with Bridges in that situation. Draft GG Jackson if he's there who seems like he could be a real PF/C. If it's Miller that's there at 3 I'd just take him. Then try to move Nurk for a couple of bench pieces maybe you have to send out future second rounders with him to make that work.

 

Tbf, I do think that Minnesota did not really play to his strengths as much as they should have and would prefer him over Zion...

best player that Dame has ever played with is the conundrum. KAT and Zion don't play much, at all. They are head cases that Portland should avoid, when talking about trading this year's top 3 draft choice, and possible future draft assets.

Jake Fischer hints here that Zach LaVine thought about being moved to the Blazers last season before he signed that contract. It's odd because Fischer just mentioned the Blazers out of nowhere.

Says that he hasn't checked in on whether anyone from Portland would be interested in LaVine now, but implied they would be asking for #3/Sharpe/Simons for Zach (which is just ridiculous). Re-iterates Sharpe is off the table from Portland's side though.

Jake mentioned New Orleans called both Charlotte and Portland. Their preference is a package of picks, but neither Charlotte or Portland are interested in a package of picks.

 

It really feels like people are trying to fleece us because they think we're desperate or they think Joe is stupid. Not sure which. Maybe both.

I know a lot of people think KAT is broken or something but I would like to see us trade Ant, Nas and pick 23 for KAT. Then I'd like to see if we could pair Nurk with future draft assets, hopefully just some second rounders and send that to the Pacers for McConnell and Theis. On draft day if Miller is there I would take him but if it's Scoot on the board I would try to move him for Franz Wagner and pick 6 and take Walker with that pick. Re-sign Jeremi and Matisse.

I think KAT has a lot of game and I think that team is a contender.

I'd probably rather have Ayton for Nurk and change than KAT for Ant, Nurk + change. Kat is the better player for sure but we need to think about fit. Ayton is better defensively. We need to get more defensive minded players.
