?

What are you hoping for with this pick?

  1. Draft Scoot and keep him

    27.6%
  2. Draft Miller and keep him

    28.6%
  3. Draft someone else at 3 and keep him (please specify)

    3.1%
  4. Trade down, but still draft in the lottery

    10.2%
  5. Trade the pick for a starting forward

    30.6%

I’m so curious what trades are on the table for Miller if Scoot goes 2.

I’m not sure what NBA team even wants a long, athletic shooter who also is a great distributor?

Every team needs a 6'9 player who can shoot, pass, and defend. Miller is it. Especially us, we should draft him if available. Young Tatum on the cheap. Get veterans by other means.

If Scoot is there, that's when you look to trade the pick (unless you trade Dame which is not likely). There will be demand for Scoot so we should get an equitable return. If the offers are bad (from teams trying to use the Dame drama against us) I personally take Amen over Scoot

I said the same in the other thread

Woj and Givony saying Scoot and Miller are both working out again in Charlotte while also meeting MJ.

Fischer had previously said they were simply having dinner.

Think people should get a fairly good idea of their selection soon after the workouts. Agents don't stay quiet.

i think Charlotte choosing Scoot is the worst kept secret in this draft cycle.

Why would any team tell Woj their honest intel before the draft? Keyword: honest

Woj says he vets things through multiple channels and he also factors in how trustworthy that person has been in the past; which certainly implies that through the last 20 years he has done this (or so) these sources have given him their honest intel previously.

I think there are teams that give Woj real info but for every team that is doing that there are probably two or three that are bullshitting him. I'm sure there are teams that like Miller better than Scoot... it's been a debate among scouts for a while now. Miller is really long, really skilled and a much better shooter than Scoot. Scoot seems to be more aggressive both in play and just in his attitude, in a positive way and for his size seems to be a lot more explosive than Miller. I don't have a hard time believing that Miller is more attractive at 2 for "most teams" it's just that the teams that do want Scoot seem to really really want Scoot.

In other breaking news, water is wet. Ujiri thinks all of his players are prime Michael Jordan in terms of value.

The more I think about it, the less it makes sense to build around a 33 year old Lillard. He has averaged 44 games played the last 2 seasons, and we expect him to be fully healthy from age 33-36… or healthy enough to justify trading the 3rd pick in a draft considered to be a 3 player draft, and the best in years? I really hope we do what’s best for the franchise and not just what Dame wants. And to anyone who responds we owe Dame… he has made almost half a billion dollars in his career, and Blazers have not won a title… so I don’t think anyone owes anything. I think Zion is the only move that makes sense to give the team a REAL chance at a title with Dame, but not sacrificing future in the process.

If Pascal Siakam is the big prize at the end of this thing I’m gonna be pissed. Just keep the pick if that’s the best you can do.
