?

What are you hoping for with this pick?

  1. Draft Scoot and keep him

    27.6%
  2. Draft Miller and keep him

    28.6%
  3. Draft someone else at 3 and keep him (please specify)

    3.1%
  4. Trade down, but still draft in the lottery

    10.2%
  5. Trade the pick for a starting forward

    30.6%

    Denver Nuggets Draft History - RealGMRealGMhttps://basketball.realgm.com › nba › teams › Draft-Histo...

Denver has done well in the draft but their current team wasn't made up of high draft picks other than Murray at 7.
Porter was taken at 14 and everyone in the league besides Nuggs missed on The Joker.
They have engineer this team through a balance of trades and FA's as well.
I dont know of anyone on this forum that picked the Nugg's to win it all at the first of the year.
Gordon / Green / Brown were key to them winning it all as well.....

I picked them to win. I should have bet on it.

If Scoot falls to us we should just trade him to NOP for CJ. Watch everyone's head explode.

Yeah and even Denver kind of missed on him. I mean they did draft Doug McDermott at 11 that year and then swapped it with Chicago to draft Nurk.

Listen to everything from 1:19 on and then really pay attention right around 3:20.

Then maybe listen to this from 33:30 for 30 seconds for more context or listen to it for a few minutes for even more.

What does "if we go young mean"?

Gary Trent opted in. I wonder if that changes things for Toronto.

Bit unexpected. I thought there was a market for him to earn more.

    Saying this for years
I know what you think you're saying, but what you're really saying is he never said anything about the third pick.

You have a predisposition on what it meant, and, leaving out basically everything else he said in those interviews along with the exit interview in Portland, you're going to take that on steroids, say forget everything else he's said and done and ignore everything else in these interviews and believe what you're selling me. I have no reason to do that, especially when you said he was "f-ing clear" when the only thing that's been "f-ing clear" is that he wants to win in Portland and he wants to be competitive and thinks this is the time to make a big move. If you can't see the beam in your own eye in this, then, like you said, I don't know what to tell you. You specifically told me he said a specific thing and when I asked you where he did that you told me I have to extrapolate it along your predisposed interpretation.

But Strenuus, some GMs seem to be able to trade for whomever they want without giving much. It’s a talent Joe may not have. I mean look at summer 2007- Celtics got KG and Ray Allen for Al Jefferson +#5. Why can’t we pull off trades like that??

. It wasn’t a supposed quote. He said it live on video.

Ugh for the last time, Heat beat fully healthy Bucks team playing at a 150%. in big games. Giannis was healthy in most of the Bucks losses. A 7 game series gives you time to make up for a bad loss too and the Bucks couldn’t do it.

Don’t take for granted Blazers will be in Portland forever or that the NBA will even be around forever. I thought “All My Children” would last forever but it didn’t.

What would be an example of that?

    I can confirm this.

Stop playing dumb. He specifically said he did not want another 19 year old rookie. He said he didn’t have an appetite for that and it wasn’t his path. I have provided you with direct quotes and you just choose to believe what you want to believe. At this point I don’t care if you agree. We will see what happens after Thursday.

Simons/Sharpe/3 for Bam is on the table.

It's not "on the table." That was what Fischer estimated would be required to pry Bam. 100% speculation. We all discussed this earlier in the thread. Look back a few pages.

He also said that before we landed the 3rd pick. There's nuance being ignored.

Have we heard a single report that Dame would be okay using the third pick? Even one?
