Yep. This Dallas writer agrees too, well, sort of, he considers it 'good news': http://espn.go.com/blog/dallas/mavericks/post/_/id/4676724/consider-danny-crawfords-arrival-good-news
The Blazers don't want or need a "make up call" game from Crawford. If the refs just call it the same for both teams and stay consistent throughout the game I think Blazers win. I don't know if the refs are a random draw in the play offs but my first thought is that the league took a look at the 4th quarter after Nate's comments and saw a problem (although they won't admit it). Maybe they want to make sure there's no talk of conspiracy after game 2. I think they'll go out of their way to call it even and that's definitely not going to hurt the Blazers. The timing of Cuban's "article" comes across as weak and paranoid... like he's admitting his team needs help from the refs to beat Portland. Sounds like fear to me. That video of the comments Skip Bayliss made is something else. I've never seen an analyst flat out say a team was robbed. Do these guys get fined or are they off the hook because they don't technically work for the NBA? Or maybe Tim is going to be doing the "behind the scene" stat research for the rest of the play offs.
This does not help! Now that everyone is talking about it this ref is going to go out of his way to prove it wrong! WTF!!!!!!
Can someone post me a link to the Skip Bayless vid? The one in the OP link doesn't play for me. Thanks, someone.
I don't know if I like that. Kidd's performance was an anomaly. I would hate for Nate to completely change our game plan just because of it. I would much rather have Miller assigned to Kidd. As Miller said, he will take this game and Kidd's much differently in game 2.
i think the game gets called fair tonight, which can only bode well for us. and hammer dirk, no cheap fouls please.
