Bradley may be shorter than CJ, but has a longer wingspan, and probably has a higher standing reach, so while smaller, he plays bigger. As for who else would need to be added, CJ/Vonleh for Bradley/Harris works cap-wise, is pretty even talent-wise, and shaves about 2.6 mil off our cap. If the Pistons' perception of CJ is high enough, could potentially return a pick with a deal like that too. I wouldn't be opposed to something like that, I think.
I agree about @DameLill379, he's been a great addition. But I've already received one PM accusing him of secretly being Tunchi and that he needs to be banned. It's amazing how one troll can scar so many. (not calling you a troll, @DameLill379)
Absolutely agree. I feel like one of the main reasons they let him walk is because they drafted Marcus Smart so high and after developing over the past few years, they wanted to thrust him into the starting position and see how he fares. He’s done pretty well. But that is no indictment on Bradly. Brady is a beast D player with a good 3 point shot. He was a big reason for Boston’s defensive success last year. I’d love to have him. I love CJ too but if a move like that makes the team more steady on the back court, defensively, i’d be willing to do it.
The following teams have records between .500 (20-20) and .535 (23-20): OKC Indy Bucks Pels Pistons Blazers Nuggs Clips 76ers The 4 youngest teams in the league are: LAL Bulls Suns Blazers The good news is that LAL, Bulls, and Suns all have records that are much worse records. So, there is some optimism being a Blazers fan. (Of course, the 5th youngest team is Boston ) The Good: We've got a great backcourt in Lillard and McCollum, and now we've added Nurk to that. Collins will be amazing... The Bad: ...but RIGHT NOW Collins is a well below average NBA player. We need to add another piece, the sooner the better. We re-signed our guys, right before the NBA salary Bubble Burst. The Ugly: We're in the luxury tax, paying dead money to a couple of guys who've never played for us, but the worst, IMHO, is the ET contract. On the verge of being a 2-way player, which we could really use, is too often a 0-way player, and superexpensive at that. Of course, many wish to ignore the fact that that summer was a use it or lose it situation cap-wise. In Summary: There are a lot of good teams struggling, and many are older than us. Life isn't a box of chocolates in the velvet rut, but we're in better shape than most, and THAT includes Indy, who is older, and can't attract FAs any better than we can.
> Damn that's good. ET sucks and will always suck. Having him is like having your mother in law in the back seat for a three thousand mile trip.
CJ for Beal has been on my wish list for awhile...after Butler was traded he seemed like a great next option acquisition
Why would WAS trade him? He's having another great year, his second in a row, he really broke out last year. They are 25-18. He is healthy, only 24 and makes slightly less than C.J. BNM
This is the problem with every trade of a starter in the league.....Isiah Thomas was the darling of the Celtics just last season..you'd have to think they loved CJ and Wall would make up for the passing...or that a core player just wants a new landscape....CJs girlfriend lives in New York and he's from Ohio....east coast draw...where he would be an allstar
I still think that there's far too much effort being spent around here trying to dream up trades for another guard to replace CJ. Yeah, Butler abuses CJ, but we don't play the T'Wolves every night. What we need is more consistent front line scoring. I'm hoping Olshey is spending his energy there.
The move is to replace the coach. You can easily fire him, but firing all the players is much harder to do. A new coach could make this collection of talent shine. It looks to me more like they're underperforming, not that they all suck. Nurk is case in point. I'm a fan of Stotts, but it seems to me he's had plenty of time to show his best work. The record is the bottom line.
