The country is racist yet a majority voted for a black man for two terms. Makes sense. I love pop but when he comments on this stuff, it just makes no sense.

well, for starters, a majority didn't vote him. 60 (or so) million people voted for him. The country is about 330 million now.

Secondly, election results from 2008 and 12 don't change whether or not the country is currently or historically, biased towards people lacking pigment.

What evidence do you have as a whole that this country is just racist?

You're asking a loaded question and a question that avoided the issue.

Here's the thing. You can admit that the country (as a government, as a people, whatever) has a racist past, and has a demonstrable bias against people of color, and you yourself not be implicated as a racist.

    Watch.

This country has a history of bias against people of color and it has impacted how people of color are perceived and represented in media, history and our culture.

Saying that does not mean I'm a racist.

Well, I think it would be best to drop the word and let people live as they see fit.
Not all things should require a consensus.

Saying it has a history of racism is correct. Saying this country now is a racist country is complete bullshit

I think there are levels of racism. Are you suggesting that the country is not at all racist anymore?

An argument could be made that it's LESS racist than it has been in the past, but it's still racist.

It's like the people who think that you have to love the country, blindly, and if you dare question anything that the country has ever done you can't love the country.

think of it this way. Let's say you were an American citizen, born and raised here. And you were pulled over in Tucson Arizona by Joe Arpio.

    Would you rather be:

A white male or a black male or a Latino male.

That's a dumb example. You are using somebody who actually is a racist so hmmm I wonder which race it would be. The point being by him saying this country is racist is a generalization to the whole country. It's different if he would of said, "there are aspects and people in this country that are still racist". Okay sure. To say this country is racist is just some more bullshit.

Ok, take away the person who pulls you over.

Why are blacks over represented in jails? Why are they under represented in almost every aspect of our culture? why are they pulled over at higher rates?

To deny that this country is racist is bullshit.

Well hmmmm let me guess why blacks make up a majority of the jail population. CRIMES. To say it's racism is ridiculous. You have to be guilty of something to be put there. How did any of the whites end of there? or latinos? hmmm I wonder, maybe they committed a crime. Why is racism the ultimate excuse? I wouldn't say blacks are under represented but they do make up only 14 percent of the population. They make up most of the NBA and NFL. Why are there more blacks in the NBA and NFL and not white people? by your logic it must be racism. Have you heard of hip hop? it's the biggest thing in our culture musically. Hip hop is made up mostly up black people. I mean all it takes is some thinking before jumping to the ultimate conclusion and excuse of racism. I mean yeah sure racism does exist and sometimes happens but once again to say its the reason for all this, is ridiculous.

they make about 13% of the population, but make up far more of the # of those in jail. And the fact that you think it's just "they commit crimes" kind of speaks of the racism that is being talked about here.

Do you realize how ignorant you're coming off here?

What in the fuck are you talking about? Literally nothing that you have said here has anything to do with whether or not the country is racist or has had systemic racism problems currently and throughout out history.

This is pretty much the same as saying "I'm not racist, I have black friends".

My god man, just stop. You're digging yourself a deeper hole.

    That's funny.

Popovich, now battling senility and dementia, is probably the league's biggest underachiever.

Considering the massively talent-stacked teams he has been given, and the ridiculous edge the referees give him, his results are mediocre at best.

Given the same circumstances, Kevin Pritchard would have produced better results as a coach.

A majority of voters certainly did.

So you're saying everyone under 18, all illegal aliens, and felons and the mentally disabled, are racists.

America is the least racist country in the history of the world, by far.

What you mistake for racism is the result of total inclusiveness.

That's why no other country EVER has welcomed people of all ethnicities and cultures, and why none ever will.

A deeper hole into where? your response is typical super liberal no answer just that you can't believe I said that and "omg how could you, black people commit crimes, like a lot? no way I don't believe it, it's racism"

The NBA and NFL comparison was fair because you said black people are under represented in a lot of things and it must be because of racism right? well I am wondering why more white people aren't in those leagues because you know, white people are under represented in those leagues so it must be racism against whites under your logic, not hard to understand. Yes black people make up more of a number in jail because unfortunately they are sloppy in the way they go about dealing their drugs and also the fact in bad neighborhoods they damn near commit genocide on each other and you can find a piece on them easily. You will call that racist but it's true. Doesn't mean I am racist, I see the world for what it is and your pandering liberal horseshit doesn't phase me
