I kind of disagree with this. Doesn't matter to me. They need to play well and get out of the first round. As far as brackets go? 2nd vs 7th still plays 3rd vs 6th in the second round so IMO any of those spots pretty much do the same thing. Bring on anybody other than the Warriors in the first round.
While I mostly agree with not worrying about matchups and focusing on playing well no matter who the opponent is, getting the 2 seed means we'd have home court in the 2nd round if they made it. It could be the difference in that series having to play 4 times in Denver.
I think instead of figuring out who they should or should not play, let's just figure out how they can win a 1st round game ( let alone series) first, regardless of who they play.
Well, isn't the OP suggesting that they'll be much, MUCH more likely to win a 1st round series if they're the 2 rather than the 3 or 4?
