I'd rather have no one than Mozgov in all honesty. Buying just for the sake of it is not the way to go IMO and I prefer both Plumlee and Davis to him. We need to remember that we have two centers on our roster right now who are not terrible, Plumlee had a great series against the Clippers which get overlooked due to weak performances vs Warriors. He's still very young and will improve, his passing has been great for example and he is not that bad defensively either. I am not in favour of replacing Plumlee just for the sake of it, ditto Ed Davis.

Who? Could that third scorer already be on our team?

Aminu is a good player, I like Crabbe's ability to score too. Harkless potential is also significant. What gets overlooked in free agency frenzy is that we have some players on our roster who could improve considerably and become very good players soon.

Leonard if he ever develops a post move to go with his 3 point shooting and he stops hesitating.

He's just not here, Erik. The closest thing we have is Harkless, IMO. If he improves his handles and gets a more consistent shot, he could be a 16-20 ppg scorer

This is why a Portland GM has to have thick skin. Because you know we're not getting a home run in free agency. I think the only thing close that we've EVER had was Brian Grant.

At this point I'd settle for an extra base hit. Anything but a walk or an infield single like every other year

as long as he's doing that, could he go on a really late growth spurt too? Another 2-5" would be great... thanks!

    Wow what a great question.

Science tells us men can grow into their 20's. With proper diet and maybe a stetching torture machine, there is nothing stopping Mo Harkless from growing to 6' 10" or 6' 11"

I agree with the general sentiments of this thread. If ever there was a high chance of Portland hitting a home run in FA, it's now. If we can't right now, given our 2 star players, the level of basketball this team played last season with the team we already have, the cap space we have, and the successful future that could be had with even 1 more high tier player, In this Blazers fans mind it will NEVER happen...EVER. Portland is in its best position for success, and luring that elusive elite FA, than it's probably ever been. We have to pull a rabbit out of the hat this FA period. Please basketball gods show us favor and mercy.

I'm not sure either, but it's good to know you think it's a problem also. See, we can find common ground, even though some of your posts are asinine

I'm gonna go Kingspeed on you'all and say that we are getting Whiteside. I'm sure you know I have no inside sources but I think it's gonna happen!

I have that feeling too, but it's hard not to be skeptical as a Blazers fan.
