That would be interesting to see as long as playing the SF, TRob does not play away from the basket on offense. Maybe a Kaman, Leonard, and TRob front line could work.

Will is also an option instead of Wright.

This is pretty much my opinion on CJ as well. I am not saying he is garbage, but he also is not going to be an NBA starting guard. He may turn out to be an ok role player, but he is near his ceiling already due to his lack of physical skills and average shooting ability.

I have never really liked the pick to begin with, I thought it was wishful thinking they had found another Lillard. We need to find a legit backup SG either in the draft or free agency, CJ will be a non-factor.

Could you imagine a "triangle"-style offense for a few minutes a game where LMA, Kaman and RoLo are the pillars passing it around inside, and then having Dame and either Nic or Wes spotting up to bomb away from 3?

CJ's played in 39 games--not even 500 minutes in the league--and in low-leverage situations every minute of that. He may be horrible, he may be Vinnie Johnson in 3 years, but I don't think anyone can say he's definitively anything right now.

Agree on Dorell. A one-dimensional shooter who's missing wide-open shots isn't as useful as you might think.

Blake's shot, otoh, looked extremely short every time he shot it. Wonder if he's still feeling whatever sickness he had at the end of preseason.

Crabbe might be actually be our best option to back Nic up at the 3.

I'm actually down to try that... Crabbe is a good shooter, plus he seems to be extremely active on the defensive end.

I actually think it's a conditioning issue; which maybe connected to this. I was thinking Stott's should welcome him shooting a closer shot until his conditioning is better. Maybe 15-20 ft.

I'd be fine with that, too. Wright was so horrible last season that after only 1 minute this season I don't ever want to see him on the floor again. Depth at the back-up SF goes like this:

Robinson, Barton, Claver, Crabbe, Leonard, Freeland, Kaman, Wright, CJ

With the first four being more or less 1a-1d.

It's hard to believe, but our bench is WORSE this year. Hopefully, Leonard can kick in 10 ppg. Otherwise, yikes!

I would be up for that as well. Wright hasn't showed me anything in 1+ season to warrant much time. Crabbe has a serious stroke and seems more active as well if much less experienced.

If thats true we're fucked. Keep his eye on Mike Dunleavy. If Doug McDermott can continue playing well Dunleavy might become available later this season.

I'm more in line with Wizard here. I don't think CJ has done enough to make us come up with the conclusion that he sucks. He is trying to fit in and do the right things when he is in there. Not trying to force it and to do too much just to prove he can play. I thought he did a nice job keeping the man he was guarding in front of him. He didn't help the team tonight...but he didn't hurt them either.

I think he can play. Right now the whole team is flat. They don't look good at all more specifically our point guard. But they are going to get it together. Give them all time.

A quick fix would be to substitute McCollum for Barton. Barton will get you quick garbage points.

We need a guard (or Forward) since Mo isn't around, who can give us around 10 ppg and that player isn't on this roster so we need to make a trade, perhaps moving TRob to the Bulls for Dunleavy. Who else would be good here?

Our overall bench points have gone up without Mo. Last night our bench outscored the Kings bench.

Our starters sorta sucked last night, bench was okay, gotta get a helluva lot more out of Lillard and Batum, Lillard may have scored 20 but he was 4 of 13 and his only field goals made were 3's, so no mid range or penetration baskets from our PG - that's suckage IMO, LMA 3 rebs?

The bench scored 21 points last night. That's 3 points worse than last year.

Bench scored 20 on opening. So we are 3.5 points worse than last year.
