Yep. Having the kid post an apology would have been much more effective.

Intellectual reasoning cannot occur without an open mind, which is why children are usually the most logical evaluators of problems and adults have trouble providing justification for their actions and rules.

If this board is any indication, the early 20s is the point when intellectual reasoning begins to die off completely.

The pussification of America. He'll get arrested for disciplining his nephew. I have seen so many spoiled, unruly, undisciplined little brats in the last ten years, I'm truly scared for the future of this country. A bunch of helpless little shits who don't know how to do anything for themselves, are fat because they play video games all day, and can't write because they only know text speak. Actually, it's probably a good thing because none of them will be smart enough to take a job away from me when they get out of high school or college.

I could easily go back and point to any 100 of your posts about Sergio Rodriguez and show that you have just as much intellectual reasoning as the rest of us.

So its ok to beat little kids? We should be able to beat the homeless too. That ought to straighten them up!

How is a swift swat on the bottom "beating" little kids? I'm not saying you need to beat them, but I think a spanking is appropriate if the punishment fits the crime. You know it's funny though, I've known an adult who needed his ass whooped from time to time as well.

He was whipping him with a leather belt. If you did that to a dog, people would call it abuse. Imagine if that was a guy doing that on a dog on youtube, it would be a viral video and people would be outraged.

Discipline should come from authority and respect, not fear of getting physically abused. This is one thing I don't really get with parents. They fucking beat their kids. Spanking a kid is physical abuse. What if you did that to old people? To a random person on the street? To a store clerk? Just because kids are helpless, its a green light to physically abuse them like that?

People still use physical "corrections" on dogs too. Again, I'm not saying you should beat them, but a spanking or a bop on the nose is sometimes warranted, and the physical equivalent for a child/teenager is sometimes needed as well.

Should the same be done if your wife is out of line? Why stop at kids/teenagers?

I just think the entire premise of "spanking your kids" is pretty ludicrous within itself. Ground them? fine. But to live in a world where if you make a mistake you get hit? lame.

    Its just parents power tripping.

I think whoopass therapy is sorely missed in our society. Watch an episode of Hoarders and tell me that you don't have the slightest urge to slap the shit out of someone who lives in filth and feces.
