He's fit enough and he's healthy enough. Start him.

They are using the reserve games get him in shape for the first team. Oh and he came off in the 89th minute :)

I really have no idea what his fitness level is, but I know he's one of the best players and would be out there if he was ready to play a full game. Why is he being held out do you think? Do you have a juicy conspiracy theory or something? Are the Timbers tanking or something?

Hmm that is hard to say. I'd say Hollywood United cause a Timber's reject scored two goals in that game. Same dude went on to play in Bundesliga 2 though. This one maybe cause the team is MLS now. What a joke man I was just laughing by the end of the game. On second thought I will say this one cause the timbers fielded a strong team of supposedly MLS players but were just terrible. Spencer's days may be numbered. The thing is Seattle is gonna beat them 4-0. GawdDang this sucks! Felt like an early A-League/USL match with the smaller crowd and the overtime oh and the shitty play. Team seamed to dominate for the most part but just wasn't into the game that much. Congrats to Cal FC. I'm all over the place here don't know what else to say. Peace.

Unfortunately, it is time to let Spencer go. His style of play does not suit the timbers abilities. Kenny Cooper leads the league in goals. Fans thought he was terrible, but it is just the fact the timbers play long balls the entire game. This is also why we are unable to hold leads in games. The fans are amazing, but the team doesn't have the proper assets to be successful. Gavin has to go too, as the team has no clear direction which falls onto the shoulders of the GM.

Edit: also if you start to lose the TA, you are losing the team's identity. There were a smattering of boos from the TA on the missed penelty kick.

I didn't see the game last night. I was shocked to hear the score, was planning to go to the game against the sounders too. I still believe in this team though, it sucks but it happens. If nagbe and alhassan develop and boyd starts scoring more goals from their service. It could happen and I'm not giving up hope, yet.

The core of the TA isn't going anywhere. Though ome people may stop attending matches if they don't get their shit together.
